My mood while writing this blog:
worried kinda

Just wanted to talk to someone about my baby katelynn hubby doesnt understand why i'm so worried really. Katelynn turned six weeks yesterday and she has gained 2 lbs since birth. She now wieghts 8lb 5oz. But for the past 2 1/2 weks i've had to watch her closely day and night because she has be throwing up her food anywhere from 1 to 3 times a day and it can happen anywhere really. so it's hard. she sleeps in her swing next to my bed so if she get sick it comes out for sure so she doesnt choke on it. safety first. Today she has to go to the hospital to drink some kind of dye and the get an xray. i hope this is a easy fix somehow. i really dont want surgery that is what really bothes me. i dont give any formula any more cause thats what we thought was bothering her but it wasnt so now ahe is strickly Bfeeding. which is good. so this is all over the place but my thoughts have been scrambled lately. i'll up date u all when i find out whats going to happen. All i'm going to post some pics later today or tomorrow. also labor dust to any of you still waiting and baby dust to all those still trying. thanks for taking your time to read this it helps me out alot. it feels like i'm not alone. i do have my hubby but he doesnt understand how i feel, he always says everything is fine, but i still cant help but to worry.

sorry to hear that norma sounds like gastric reflux my oldest daughter had this she didn't need surgery she just got baby gaviscon and other stuff i think it was called carobel to make her food heavier so it would stay down but she did out grow it after about a year but it is worrying especially at night it's like byrdi said its to do with the valve in the stomach that holds food in not being quite strong enough yet hope all goes well after your hospital appoitment take care

my friends baby had a valve in her stomach that was supposed to close by birth and didn't so she kept throwing up also...it closed on it's own not long after (within a month or two) and she was fine:)

hi ya, my baby was in hosp after birth for 6 weeks and one of her issues is that she doesnt feed well. she regurges almost every feed and sometimes its as much as 3/4 of her feed. shes tried diff formulas and breastmilk but it makes no difference to her. the doctors said as long as it doesnt hurt her and shes gaining weight then its not a big concern and she might grow out of it hopefully. but yeah she also has an appointment with a neurologist in december 2 see if that is linked, i guess they have ruled out that its her stomach or back of throat. its distressing seeing your baby go thru it day after day but they will eventually get better as they get older. does she throw up when she is feeding or before and after? if while feeding her try laying her on her side instead of back so if she gags or tries to throw up its easier to come out. my babys occupational therapist recommended the side lying position and also to hold her upright for half an hour after feeding(this may help in keeping the milk down and digested) frequent burping may also help. well...good luck with baby...and keep us updated on her progress xox

Hey you! I hope you are doing well otherwise. It sounds like possible reflux or maybe even a milk allergy....those are my two guesses. That what I usually hear when a baby won't stop throwing up. I know my suggestions won't help til you really know after the appointment, I hope all goes well! Thinking about you guys!
