10-8-2009 - 29wks, second OB appt!

Well I had my second OB appointment today, went great! I am so happy with my OB, he is a wonderful Doctor with great bedside manner.

Shannon was with me, but we didnt really have any questions this time... we asked about cord blood banking, and my OB said there is no public bank in Ontario, and that to pay the enormous fees for a private bank isnt really worth it, he recommended starting an education fund for baby instead. Im glad he gave me a strong opinion on it, because i am usually so indecisive...

The baby is head down, bum up, facing backwards... :) so adorable, cant wait to meet him. He has been kicking me in the ribs a lot some days, he is a VERY active baby. My OB said that fetal movement is the best indicator of fetal well being. He says our baby must be very happy in there :)

My weight is now 136.5lbs, so I only gained a little over 1lb/week since my last appointment, he said that was good :)

Heart rate was in the mid to high 130's, strong and steady, Dr. said baby is doing great, not to change anything.

I did have a bout of strange sickness on the weekend... I woke up at about 5am, didnt really have to go pee, but was WIDE awake... decided to try and go pee anyway, and when i got to the bathroom i started to feel a really bad stomach ache. I tried to go back to bed, but as soon as i was about to fall asleep I threw up :( . Dr. says not to worry if its a one time thing, but if it happens anymore then i should definately let him know. That was my first time throwing up through this entire pregnancy.

I guess thats all for now, Oh, I get to see my OB every two weeks now! Yay! Im moving right along!
