05-10-2009 - 37 Weeks! Full Term!!

My mood while writing this blog: Excited but Tired

Well Ladies, I am full term at last!

Hope you are all doing well, and hope those of you that are about to deliver are trying to be patient as I am :)

I have an OB appointment today, but I dont think my doc will be checking me this time, but maybe... I sort of hope he does, its nice to hear things are progressing :) My last appointment was about 10 days ago and he checked me while he did my group b strep test... he said I was not dialated at all, but my cervix was thinning and softening, which I was glad to hear, because when I had my last US 2 weeks before that my cervix was extra long :) He gave me my hospital papers to carry with me at the last appointment, I am so excited I have to try not to think about it or I will drive myself crazy!

We finally finished the nursery! I LOVE IT! I want to sleep in there myself! You can see pics of it on my profile, let me know what you think!

I have had two baby showers so far, got so much nice stuff, baby Grayson has been completely spoiled! We still have 2 more showers, one before he is born (they better hurry up!) and one after. I am so thankful that people are so loving and supportive of us to throw us these showers and buy us all of these nice gifts.

As far as symptoms these days, my breasts have been leaking a bit for atleast a month now, just clear colostrom... and not enough to need breast pads or anything, just my nipple tips will be wet sometimes. Pretty neat, I cant wait to breastfeed my son. My stomach skin feels like its on fire right under my boobs, its so itchy and burning! I also had similar feelings in my right leg last week, but seems to be better this week, thankfully.

My back is still killing me, but I have been going for regular massages and it seems to help. Sleeping is touch and go sometimes with my back pain, some nights i sleep well, and some nights I just toss and turn in agony.

I FINALLY packed my hospital bag, and one for baby, and one for hubby :) Figure its probably time! It is all starting to feel so much more real... I bought milk yesterday and it expires when the baby is due... thats when you know you are getting close!

Im still planning on working up until the 16th (due on the 25th)... should be able to, I just hope my work gets my replacement soon so I can get training them!

I have a ton of stretch marks on my butt, but they arent too bad, other than that, i noticed a few on my thighs that popped out the other day, but the ones on my boobs are really faded already... and none on my belly somehow! I cant believe that!

I am weighing in at about 144 lbs now YIKES! Seems to be slowing down a bit now though, about 1 lb a week. My blood pressure is always great, everything is great according to my doctor.

Well, I guess thats about all I have to update on now, hopefully ill be sending a quick note later on to say that my cervix is dialating, but somehow i dont expect he will be checking :(
