Logan-Michael-Parry`s birthstory

Well here is the Birth Story I have been meaning to write, been so busy....

It all started sorta on June 19th 2008, I had an appointment with ob, and I was 38 weeks, right on ( by period due date she had given me) I was 4cm, and 80% effased, I was shocked to have made it to this appointment since I had my membranes swept the wk b 4, and no labor, just lots of false labor contractions, mucus, bloody discharge, and no baby:( So at the appoint, I asked about being induced, that I was sore,and she had mentioned b4 that at 38 wks she could do so, she tol dme that most dr. will not induce b 4 38wk 3 day, and she looked at the hospital scuduele and was thinking,as i said PLEASE...! She said if i was on call I could and would do it,are u sure u dont wanna wait a wk, I said well no not really~!LOL, so she said Ok the best i can do is on my lunch call , and see what the Dr says, I will call u, If u dont hear from me, then they wouldnt go for it, cause ur alil ealry, but if u do then it will be for this weekend! If not come see me on the 24th for ur appoint. and I am on call at hospital and I will do it on the 26th! So at least there was an ending, And she also gave me a real hard good membrane sweep!!!!!! ( not that i was expecting much from it), but I left excited but trying not to get hopes up,a s up to this point not a thing wet my way...... So I went home and of coarse didnt expect call but every time the phone rang I ran to it,and when it wasnt the dr office i was bummbed, lol! Kinda funny!

Well lunch time passes, and then it approaches 4pm, I now by this time I am not getting the call, and then the phone rang, and I sad hello, they said Rachel,.( i knew), and she told me that my ob had talked to the Dr on call and he had agreed to induce me nd to be at the hospital the next morn for 8am!!!! WOOOOOOOO I was so excited! I called Mike and told him , he was at his parents, I had tears in my eyes, I said Guess what , were meeting our baby tommorow, ~! AT 8am~! He came here so fast!,and we tryed sex-so painful and I was bleeding bad and it was bright pink,& I thought I had the show b 4 well this must have been the real thing, or just from sweep! And I said Mike Ihave a feeling, watch I am gonna go into labor tonite, or I will b by morn, just wait now that we dont have to try it will happen, things always happen that way... ANd of coarse we couldnt sleep so we stayeD up getting ready till 4am~ Finally got 2.5 hours sleep, and I had been having contractions all night, nothing serious, or what I thought was real, But I woke up to cotractions 5 min b 4 the alarm, it acually hurt, but again nothing too serious, just shocked that it woke me! I dropped Kids off with my dad, and was sad, ( leaving my yougest for that llong was hard shes 3! and a mommys girl) And then My mom picked mIke and I up,@ 7:30, well b 4 the drive to hospital by mom, i was so convinced I was constipated, ( TMI SRY) well I keept trying to go and go and nothing, and then I made mom wait one lat tiome but nothing, and I was thinking it was maybe nerves or maybe it was me being scared fear of going on bed during labor? Anyhow I was having pains contractions, ( nothing I hadnt had b 4 ) the whole way to hospital, and that consipated feeling bad, like I needed to push, like get me to a washroom, asap, and then mymouth started to fill up, i was gona be sick, but I dint, my mom was laughing at me, she knew it was my nerves, Mike was saying babe ur in labor, I was like NO I am not I would know, I feel sick need washroom now ,and I am nervous, it all clicked omg I am having a baby , omg its comming home, its gonan hurt , omg! I had tears I was scared, My mom dropped us off and then I went and sat in washroom again, and not a thing, still getting these contractions that dont hurt too bad at all!

SO WE GET UP STAIRS To L and D AND THIS IS WHERE IT ALL BEGAN:

8am- We get to 5th floor and b 4 I could do paper work, I had to use washroom again, they stopped me and siad can u give up a urine sample,and asked if I could fill out forms first, since I knew I had nothing in me I filled out forms, They got me into ealry assement room,and hooked up to monitors and it was recording my 5 min apart contraction, that were realy nothing, a lil sore, but I have had them all wk, so I put them of like oh well, this again, They siad Dr will come ina nd deside how he is gonna induce me, ( snce I was 4cm I prob didnt need gel) Well Mike went downstairs to get coffee to wake him up, well as soon as he walked out Dr walked in and nurses,( so much for monitoring me for 45 min like we were told), And he checked me said I was a good 4- 5 cm,and station - 2 and having contractions with accelations? ( whatever that means about every 5 min),a nd that I was in labor pretty much, and asked if I was comfotable with him just breaking water tobring on contractions!

9:50-BROKE MY WATER

9:55-OMG CONTRACTIONS, and they hurt like hell, I was like omg its comming out so soon, and hubby wasnt there, I got cell called him crying saying ur missing it all they broke water I am in labor, and It hurts get back up here, hes like do I have time I am almost next inline, or is this it, ( he had just left 5 min prior so this was shocking for him), b 4 I could answer I was crying he said I will be there right now, no coffee! I told him that they seen my apin and that they were moving me to a room that I would deliver in, so hurry! He made it there B 4 I had to move and It was horrible trying to walk, I was in trears and water would not stop, ( niagria falls)

10:35- Ok well now these are serious contractions, they really hurt...!Mikes guess the night b4 for baby to be born was 10:47am ( well at this point I htought he was gonan be right, so did he) and mine was 4:47, ( I was hoping i was way off now lol)

11:05-SHOT of morphine, ( I gave in) , They keep asking me do u want smething I said no, but please tell me b 4 it is too late, and that way I can have the option still, they said well 6cm is too alte u were 5 adn hour ago, so u may not get anything but I can check u, I said I can deal with this I think can u give me 5 min to think about it, well contractions were comming closer then a min apart,a nd oh man, it hurt like hell worse outta 5 labors,and poor mIkes fingers were blue,a nd i was crying so hard, and I was saying I want the drugs get nurse hurry, then poor Mike would get up to go get nurse,a nd I would yell get back here where u going, I need u dont leave me, Then after contraction ended he would get up, no no I dont need drugs, then he would sit, well 5 to 10 mon of that and he was still holding me, with tears in his eyes seeing my pain,a nd I say get her why didnt u get them fo rme, please I need thm Now!!!!!!! So I got checke dand I was still 4- 5cm, so I got the shot, ( only time happy to have no progress)

12:50 - SHOT WORE OFF - now hard labor started at around 10 30, well this was even harder , somthing I have never expieranced, I was asking for more and asking, But I was 6cm and cuold not have more by this point! I had gas for 5min, that did not a thing, maybe a lil help,I kept getting the pushing feeling,& knew it was not time!

1:50-Well for someone who was against an epidoral, I changed my mind in 5 min at 1:50, I was crying for it,a nd they said they usually give it right away at like 4 but if ia m no more then 6cm they will do it, I thaought oh no we,, the first time b 4 shot , I figured I was at lest 7-8 and I was wrong this time I have to be there at least , oh no! well I was still 6cm, and I got it, and it was so hard to sit up and saty still while i was sitting there naked and had boobs in Mikes face and at this point I did not care who seen me, The Dr givingme it walked into room asked me to sit at edge of bed, well, I said hang on, hes liike do u wantme to come back in an hour, NOOOOOOOO i said, ( he was kidding, i had no sence of humer at this point)-over my head,, and then I said how long till it works, He says about an hour or 2, I said oh, ( oh fuck in my head) Well he was kidding then they let me in, Mike was lIke I knew that he said wh didnt u correct me, Mike loved hima nd his funny since of humer, I HATED HIM, Mikes making ocmments like this is my fav part, me thingking why so I will stop turning u blue be squeasing ya? ( no, he had boobs in his face, I clued into this after, they got a good laugh), Well they told me it would kick in after 3 contractions, It was owrking but still not 100% like i was used to with 1st 2 children, I was still in shock I was getting it, I was so not for it, well

2:00pm I was on ohone to dad then they checked me, I was feeling the contractions but not the peak of them, at I was -10CM AND HE WAS RIGHT THERE.....nurse said well he feels like a baldy....( I wasl ike omg I sat all day at 5 to 6 ish now in 10 min 10 cm. By this point it was 2:05pm.

The nurse was telling me I could push , I was like how I am having contractions but no feeling to push at all, so I said I wanted to wait, well by 2:15 epiodral wore OFF IT DIDN T TAKE I WAS FEELING CONTRACTIONS HARD. Not as hard but hard, well my body didnt take maybe i got it to late they said, after crying for pain med I got the gas back and i didnt put it down, lol, It helped. The Dr came in and they are like she can push she just doent fel the erge she said, well finally at 2:25 after I decided to try atfirst not pushing hard cause iI didnt feel ready, and I had gas the whole time while pushing maybe too much, they took it away and said ok, its taking to much time try to just use all u got and push, well they kept tellin me they could see heasd i thought they were lieing didnt feel like i was making any progress, well my contractions wetre lasting the whole time at the most long enough for 2 or 3 pushes they went down not as strong and not as close and like 20 sec long, the epidoral that didmt work took contractions away at 10cm and almost crowning, I dint feel baby there so it must have worked a bit the epidoral... well they had the put me on the drip

JUST BEFORE 3:00pm: - They gave me the drip,( the one I dint have to gt in the morn.) and I had it for 5 min or so, they may have kept it in dont think so,a nd I pushed and then finally

3:15- with the encouragement of Mike and him telling me there is out boy I see him u can do it, push baby push, out cae LOGAN MICHAEL PARRY 7lbs 2onz 21inch, my biggest yet! Head 33.Little bit if blond hair blue eyes that looked at daddy right away and when he came out I said Is it a boy? and they SQUIRT, i got a fountain of pee while he layed on my tummy, it was likehe was saying yes, daddy cut the cord the they took him, to do there stuff and when lifting him , we seen def a boy daddy says! It was so beautiful, i was crying and happy and IN LOVE AD I AM STILL STUCK IN THIS MOMENT!

Within 5 min of being born he was nursing, he nursed the first hour of his life, 45 min of it!, he went for breat threw my gown so Igave it to him, so amazing how they know what to do like that, he latched properly and knew what to do, hes a champ,a nd a mommys boy, loves my skin! He has spent most of his life in my arms! I love him so much! hes so cute and perfect!

-No stretch marks ( 5 kidsYAH)

- NO rips tears or stitches and day 6 back into clothes tumy almsot flat but not quite, and still have 6 lbs to lose, and can hide tummy in clothes, and felling better today ,a fterpains untill yesterday were rough, and back hurt bad! They were shocked that, that after pushing for so long that I didnt need stitches, they thought pushing would be alot easier since i have 5, I was so happy to hear NO RIPS THEY WERE SHOCKED< espically after the way the dr and nurse was stretching me opened!

sry lafies i know its long but i didnt wanna leave out details so i have it for baby book and knew its not often i get the time to write it out, dint wanna do it twice!

i love reading birth stories. some of this was hard to read bc of all the typos but i got the idea. yeah, it's long but THAT'S A GOOD THING! all those details aren't a bad thing at all! fm all the typos, i figured you wrote it shortly after the birth so you were either in pain or tired. i don't know HOW you remembered all those times and what not! i had a general idea of when some things happened w/both of my 1st 2 deliveries. but other details that i got were fm people who were there & told me afterwards. anyways...GREAT story w/lots of FAAABULOUS details.

Great story. It was the full moon giving you labor dust.

I wouldn't have tore if I would have dialated all the way to 10. LOL but little mama had her own plans. But that's great that you didn't. So not a great feeling - the stitches anyway. I didn't even hurt when he stuck the needles in to numb me.

Omg! I can soo relate to the whole anxiety attack on the way to the hospital, and the constipation.. I tried so hard to go before I got there!! LOL! Then when it came time to push is when I felt like I had to go!!! Ugh! I was screaming, "I don't want to crap on the table!" Over, and over again!! LOL! My epidural completely did not take, and my hubby also went to the cafeteria because nothing was going on, so I said go ahead and go, then low and behold my contractions got intense and PAINFUL!! So I told my brother-in-law to call his cell and tell him to get back here now!! How funny the similarities, huh? Giving birth has got to be the craziest thing ever!!! Congrats on your healthy baby!!
