My mood while writing this blog: Excited |
HI LADIES, LONG TIME NO TALK!
Sorry for all the messages I have missed! I want to know how u all are doing , 5 kids is sure a challange, but I am doing great! Sometime my house work gets a lil behind, and I dont get a cahnce to eat casue I fall asleep sitting up holding my baby and snugling him all night, Dont always get a chance to get all pretted up, so we have sweat pants days, there is always the few bad days when children are acting up ( not the baby) but makes it hard, casue Ihave spoiled Logan so much, he still has never slept in his crib! Most of the time in my arms! And like to be held and have boob my mommy all the time! But its alot easier then I thought, not much different at all, ! Dinner time and shopping are the hardest things to do, which means that..well alot of take out, and eating out, but my children behave so well in stores, and resturants so that helps, but feeding 5 gets pricey!
But Here is Logans UPDATE: ( I ALSO HAVE A FEW CONCERNS QUESTIONS IF YOU COULD LEAVE ME REPLY ON BLOG THAT WOULD BE GREAT)
- He is huge for his age doctors cant beleive it, hass at least 5 lbs on all my kids, and 3 inches at this age, If u have a baby around 4 months now, can u leave me his or her weight.....
Logan was born at 7 pounds 2onz- Day 2-6lbs 11onz, -Day 3-6lbs 13onz Day 9-6lbs 14onz
2-WEEKS-8lbs 6onz
1 MONTH-10lbs 15onz 21 3/4 inch long
2 MONTH-13lbs 4 onz` needle day, no crys! no fever no reaction! just sleepy! needle in both legs:(
3 MONTH-15lbs 9 onz or 10 onz
4MONTH-17 pounds 12 onz
NOW- 19 POUNDS at 4.5 months old
So is he big or what!!!!! LOL , I weighed him yesterday and he was 19lbs!
He eats nothing but oatmeal cereal-hates rice cereal, at first(3 months old)- he was eating it with breast milk only, now since pumping is another thing on the list to do, I sometimes use formula to mix it with in the morn, and thats the only time he has formula, he has nothing but breastmilk, he does not and has never taken a bottle, Yesterday for the fiorst time I tyred to give him a warm bottle of watered down apple juice.....but NOPE, he Hates the bottle even toaching him! He has his first cold:(
BABY FOOD~ ( again ladies can I hear ur input on ur babies liking to baby food)
he has had -sweet poetatoes- hated it first time, liked it 2nd time, now hes ok with it but doesnt like it the same way he mows back his cereal.
creamed corn-LOVED IT, and its the only veg I can really get him to eat
Squash- well, he hated that, u should have seen the face that was last night. and def a no go
Carrots-hates, u would think i was trying to giove him soimething sour!
And I also find this weird~ he doesnt like any fruit,I have tryed banana, grape blueberry w/ oatmeal, banana w/ applesause, nope hates them all, but will eat strawberries only if litle amounts are added to his oatmeal cereal! Its like its too strong for him.
All my children loved baby food and fruit the most this is odd for me, but when he eats I make 60 mils of formula add cereal fruit its gine real quick, then sometimes wants more!
SO AGAIN ANOTHER QUESTION LADIES- MY SON STILL BREAST FEEDS ON DEMAND,ANDI WAS WONDERING HOW MUCH A BABY IF FED WOULD TAKE IN A BOTTLE AS FOR I HAVE NEVER BOTTLE FED!????? and my lil guyissuch a pig, I am now a DD~something I dreamed of for a long time! And I love it!, I have always been a C and even trew breatfeeding they never got this size b 4! I think hes over eating??
And one more~ Ever since Logan was introduced to food.......he went from 8-12 poops a day, since he pops when breast feed, to pooping every 2 or everyohther day once! Never had that b 4, Dr said its fine but...it bothers me, and when he goes, even with a brand new pampers swaddler put on 5 mon prior, he overfills it, ends up in the bath, and everything covered in poop? Anyone have the same promblem, It cant hold one poop:( And nowits like oh hes pooping go fill the tub,I have got poop on everything. ) I buy hiom new clothes weekly, lol.
He loves his swing, and I got him a rainforest jumperoo this week, ladies if u dont have one get one the best thing ever he loves it!
He coos and smile all the time, happy happy baby, wants mommy all the time, but noty so shy like other babies were,I have never left him b 4, only for 20 min while doing a driving test but he came and waited where I was with Hubby, lol! He hold head great he has not rolled over, but again spends most time in my arms! I think hes teething always rubbing gums:(
Also recently has gotton 2 lil pathes of exzema:( our whole fam has it, but its where the diaper tabs would go!
Another Q~ WHAT SIZE ARE UR BABIES IN ! DIAPERS-3
and clothes~I buy 12 months, buthe fits into 6 to 9, and even 6 months pants , but even had a size 2 sweater on him the other day, ( it was his bro's so it has been washed alot and was small) But when I tell people hes 4 months there like REALLY? lol Hes big, but not too huge.
Lots of rolls~and gets neck cheese so I have named it~cleaning him constintaly.... And starting tio rash in roll creases~DOES ANYONE IONE KNOW HOW TO PREVENT~ right now I wash dry, let itair for a bit then I try some zinc!
I know 100 Questions sorry ots been a while~ AND LAST-----He has a cold, too young for med.I have baby vicks on him and got vitimin drops! Any other idea's , got drops for nose, but there no good, cause its running, he sounds horribkle and cant breath good outta nosre, been 2 family Dr already and he said just a cold! ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO HELP HIM FEEL BETTER AND DEAL WITH THIS BAD COLD PLEASE REPLY TO THIS BLOG, I FEEL SO HELPLESS TRYING EVERYTHING!
Well ladies I want to see pics's of all ur babies, I hope everyone is doing good that I used to talk to and anyone that has baby Logans age or around, ifu could let me know there eating habits size ect, just curious to compare!

Saturday, 15 Nov Hey! Long time no talk... (I changed my display name from Steffy-can't-wait-for-June.... :D ) Logan is so adorable! I wouldn't be too concerned about his weight, all babies are different. Aiden is long and skinny. He was 14lbs 6 oz at his 4 month appt. (36th percentile) and 27 inches long (98th percentile) As far as bottle feeding, I was unable to breastfeed because I wasn't producing enough so he has been bottle fed since he was like 2 weeks. He eats alot! He gets cereal and fruit in the morning with a bottle (about 6 oz) Then during the day he takes 8 oz bottles about every 3 hours, For dinner he takes a 6 oz bottle, fruit and veggies. Aiden had a cold a few weeks ago. I bought the J&J soothing vapor bath (it's in a green bottle) and put that in his bath before bed. That seemed to help alot! When he ran a fever i just gave him a little children's tylenol... seemed to help also. You could possibly try putting a humidifier with vapor in the room to help with the stuffy nose. Aiden will be 5 months on the 21st and he is in size 3 diapers, 6-9 month onesies (because he is so long) but can still fit in 0-3 month pants (because he is so skinny... lol) For the teething, I found these teething tablets at the pharmacy. They are all natural and seem to work well for him when he is fussy from teething. They are called Hyland's Homeopathic teething tablets. (I just dissolve a few in a dropper of water) Hope this stuff helps you out! Glad to hear you are all doing well! :D Keep in touch!!! Gracies5th -
Friday, 14 Nov Jacob is a big boy too, at 3 months he was nearly 15lbs, and in size 3 diapers, now he's 5 months and hasn't been weighed since his last checkup, but he's a lot bigger now. He's also wearing 6-12 month clothes at 5 months, has been for about a months now. So you're not alone, just healthy babies :smile
About the poop, yeah that happens here too, he'll go a couple days and not do anything but then when he does it's a blowout.
He's not eating solid food yet, he's had some a few times but just tying it, since there's really no rule saying that he has to be eating solids until 6 months.
And for the chub rolls, you can use powder after baths or whenever it is needed. Huggies has a liquid powder that is awesome for that, I've used it on each of mine since it came out. Goes on like lotion and dries into powder.
Anyways, good to hear everything is great with you and yours.
and for the nose use a nasal aspirator, mine just got over a cold, use saline drops to loosen it up if it wont budge and you'll just have to keep sucking it out until the cold clears.
Blessings

Friday, 14 Nov I know what you mean about being busy! It's 11pm and I should be sleeping, but it's the first time all day that I've had a chance to get on the computer. My 3rd baby was my biggest. At his 6 month checkup he was 27 lbs and 30 inches. He slowed down a little after that though, especially with the weight. My new baby is 19 lbs 27 inches. He's 5 1/2 months but was born a month early. My little girl was the smallest of the 4. At a year she was only 18 lbs and 26 inches. I thought she was going to be a midget for a while, but she's 4 and finally growing. She's about the same size as her 22 month old brother. It's amazing how they can have the same parents and look so different.
As far as the nasty stuff under the neck, I just use a baby wipe to clean it when I change his diaper, and then throw some powder on it, or diaper rash cream when it gets red.
I have a really really hard time keeping the house clean. My husband doesn't clean at all, so it's up to me to do all of the cooking and housework. I've been giving the older kids chores to do, like taking out the trash and feeding the pets, but it's almost harder to get them to do the chores than for me to just do it myself. I do dishes for about 30 minutes twice a day, and never run out of clothes to wash. I really want another baby, but I'm starting to wonder if I shouldn't wait until we can afford a nanny. :-)
I finally gave up breastfeeding last month. The little guy never seemed to get full, so I gradually switched him to formula and some baby food, and he has really put on some weight. He won't eat any green foods. He seems to be stuck on carrots, sweet potatoes, bananas, and apples. I haven't tried him on oatmeal, but I do give him the rice cereal mixed with fruit.
Diapers... I had the same problem with pampers. The only thing I've found that work are Huggies Supreme. They have a wider band on the back that keeps the poo from going up the back. It occasionally leaks from the legs, but only if it's really runny. The diapers may be a little more pricey, but they save staining all of his outfits. My son is in size 3 right now too. My smallest was my daughter, in size 2 at 6 months, and my largest was son #2 in size 5 at 6 months. How many kids do you have in diapers right now? I only have 2. The 5 month old, and the 22 month old, and he's not remotely interested in potty training.
And all of my kids have colds right now. I don't give babies under 6 months any medicine, so I've just been suctioning out his nose with the blue squeezy thing. If your baby get really weezy I'd take him to the doctor and let him prescribe something, but I don't know how safe it is to give babies this age any cold medicine. Vicks does make a baby bath. I think it's made by Johnson's and has the Vick's symbol on it. I may run out and pick up some of that myself.
Well, I'm headed off to bed. Nice to hear from you again! busybeemom -
Thursday, 13 Nov Hey, I think all babies grow diff... My son was 18 lbs at 3 month., My 1st was 16 lbs at a year. My 3rd will be 3 next month and is 25 lbs now, and #4 is 10+ months and is just 17 lbs... They were all breastfed. just think the grow at diff rates sometimes. Just look at it like this, nobody can say you don't feed him...LMBO!!!! prittigrl01 -
Thursday, 13 Nov Hey! It's good to hear from you! I've missed ya! Ava is going to be 4 months next week. She is only 14 pds 3 ozs!!! She was born 8lbs 11ozs 2 weeks early! She has a bronchial infection so she has lost 8 ozs. So right now she's under 13 pds :-( She's still in a size one diaper, she only eats cereal from a spoon no baby food yet and formula not breast milk. I couldn't produce enough to satisfy her. She's drinking any where between 4-6 oz's every 3-31/2 hrs. It;s been less for the past 2 weeks because she's sick. I have a vicks vaporizer warm humidifier that I use every night for her and that seems to help her. I got it at walgreens it was 13.00 and then the vicks medicine was like 8$. She poops more often now that she is eating cereal 2-3 x's a day now instead of 1. If I were you I'd use huggies diapers. The swaddler pampers are thin and never hold poop. Ava is little and her poop doesnt even fit in them!! I like the pampers because they are soft and smell good but as far as holding all the crap huggies work better. I'm using the last of the pampers swaddlers up right now then on to the huggies! Ava is in 3-6 month clothes. She's 25 inches long though so her pants seem to be too short!!! She's off the charts in her length and under weight :-( She eats when she's hungry and refuses when she's not. I can't force her to eat more. I think that I am going to start her on baby food this next week maybe she will gain more weight. What do you think? It was nice hearing form you. Your little guy is doing very well and don't worry about the weight my sisters baby is 5 months and he is 23 pds!!! He is a big bubba chubba too!!! you guys have a healthy happy boy! ready4mygirl -
Thursday, 13 Nov Oh about Logans weight, yeah, he is a little chunkers lol. My daughter weighs 20 lbs and she is a year old. What is his height? I really wouldn't be too concerned with it. I have a friend and her baby was 22 lbs at three months old. He is almost 7 yrs old now and weighs about 45-50 lbs. He will grow out of his chunky stage... and rather quickly. As soon as he starts crawling/walking he will loose alot of the adorable baby fat.
