18-5-2008 - The ignorance of people disgusts me!!!

My mood while writing this blog: ANGRY

Well i've had my first insult from someone telling me it's wrong to be pregnant at my age. I didnt expect it to come from a pregnancy site but there you go. I mean i went to a high class ball the other day for a private school and even a girl there who was helping me cause i was crying (she went to an all girls private school) didnt judge me and offered advice. I thought the world had grown out of this patriachal right wing view but obviously theres still a few who just wont shut up. Yes im 17 and pregnant. I've been with my boyfriend 2 years. We use protection. 17 is legal in the UK. Accidents happen!!!

I would like these people to put themselves in our shoes. When i was 15 i used to think teenage pregnancy is for people who sleep around and dont wear protection but i was wrong and thats what some people need to understand. It does happen! I understand teenage pregnancy a whole lot more now and it just proves you cant truely judge something unless you are in the same 'bubble'. And also people who say if your mature enough to have sex your mature enough for a baby are even more stupid, any idiot can have sex. it takes a lot more to be a parent.
