25-7-2008 - Results from my bloodwork

Ok... so I went to my specialist and I was sooo certain that I did not have a blood clotting problem... everything came back fine, but ONE!!!! Lupus Anticoagilant is what I have!!! So he has me taking baby aspirin and when I get preggo I have to go back to him and will be on LOVENOX. =( He is the head of the Cancer Center and big on working with blood clotting disorders in pregnant women so he is the BEST and I trust him with his recommendations! While he is the best he is also very very busy and I was walking with him for more blood work and I had to stop him and say well can you at least look at what the hospital records say??? sooo he took me back to his office and he was like, "oh well then I recommend a cerclage as well!" He actually recorded his memo to my reg obgyn while I was with him and let me add anything in! (that was nice!)

So I am fine with his findings, but now annoyed at my lovely fiance!!! He didn't even ask me how my dr appt went???? what kind of sh** is that??? anyways I just told him that it I have a blood clotting disorder and left it at that. Anyways that is a whole other blog... stay tuned...lol

I am so glad you found out and now love the doctor. I found out the hard way that doctors are every thing and when you feel comfortable that next time they have a better plan and will watch your more closly.

Hey, I'm the same. I actually have Lupus and I was on Lovenox. It's a shot you have to put on your upper butt (lovehandles) and you switch sides every other day. I had to put ice on the sides for a couple of mins and then hubby would shoot me. It wasn't bad at all. And I'm afraid of shots! But, I did pretty good.
