03-6-2008 - Pre-Op Appointment

My mood while writing this blog: Nervous

I went to the Dr. yesterday for my Pre-Op appoitment and the Dr. wanted to do an Ultrasound to see how much my Fibroid had shrunk since having the Lupron shot. My Fibroid did not shrink it GREW from 11cm to 12cm. My Dr. was shocked and I was very disappointed. I had to suffer through hot flashes for nothing!!!! I now have the biggest Fibroid that they have ever taken out with the laproscope. They are a little worried but reassured me that if anything were to go wrong they would have a Urologist come in immediately. I'm nervous about being under for the 6 hour procedure but am hopeful that everything will be just fine. I wish they didn't tell you the risks because it just gets you scared. I'm dreading being away from Gage while i'm in the Hospital. I'm going to miss him so much!!!! I am just going to trust in God to see me through and think positive thoughts. I'm starting to panic a little but thank-fully I have so many supportive people around me and most of them are on this site. Thanks ladies for all of your support and well wishes-it means alot!!!!!!
