So, I had my first scheduled ultra sound this morning, April 15th/09 at 19 1/2 weeks. The technician starts the scan and is showing me the head and other parts. Then he does a sweep to the other side and low and behold, there is another head he sees. He said, you have twins! Your kidding! TWINS!!! Yep, two babies growing well inside me. I'm in shock.
Apparently, they are in separate sacks (which means least high risk) and that they are probably from two eggs being fertilized, so fraternal twins. He said everything looks great.
Wow! Twins! and we were surprised to be pregnant at all, it wasn't planned.
