23-3-2009 - We may know gender already!

My mood while writing this blog: Excited!!!

My husband and i went in for the ultrasound screening check for Down's and a few other conditions. Everything looked awesome so that was a huge relief...and the heart rate was steady at 156! The baby looks just like my son did, even the ultrasound tech said that since she has done all of my scans over the last couple of years. She is incredibly experienced in scanning as she used to do all of the high risk cases. Even though we were just 12 weeks today...i got bumped back 5 days on my due date...she thinks she found the gender. She made us promise we weren't going to get all excited and set on this since it's only 12 weeks and some little parts may have yet to show...but what she saw was the 3 little lines that say GIRL!!! I go back in on April 21st and my OB may do another quick scan to see if she can find anything more...than the big scan where we will know for sure is May 14th. So for now I can live in my little fantasy world that I'm going to have a daughter...but if we find out that it's another Boy we will be just as happy and excited.

That's great. My US tech said 90% that I'm having a girl too. My son will be 20 months when this baby is born. I'm fine if it turns out to be a boy since I have all my son's cute stuff saved. But a girl would be great too. I always wanted one of each. Congratulations!

You probably do know! I found out with my son at 13 weeks exactly! I hope they're right! You'd have one of each....so exciting!!!!

WOW! That's awesome! I would be thrilled if I didn't have to wait for my May appt. to find out. I wouldn't go decorating the nursery just yet since it's early, but I too would live in fantasy world if I knew. Congrats on the fun news!
