I have a question ladies, I am 12 weeks today I feel good not m/s, I am just think I am too big everyone thniks that I am having twins bt I am not I want to exercise, I want to get on the traidmill for may be 1/2 hour tt dr and she sd should be okay but I am so scare that I would do some wrng to my baby of for a m/c Any advice!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Walking is very good for you right now. Every doctor I have talked to told me that exercise in moderation is recommended, based on how you feel. if you feel good enough to get out and walk, by all means, go do it! It will also help with delivery and recovery after the baby is born. I was a runner before I got pregnant, but I get the same energy and relaxation from just walking. I usually do 45 min-and hour a day, and make sure my heart rate doesn't go above 140. My doctor was pretty clear that I had to keep my heart rate down and not overdue anything. And don't worry about getting too big too early...be healthy. Eat healthy foods when you're hungry and get some exercise, but don't stress over it. You can always think about you after the baby is born. Right now, just think about the baby.

I was going to the gym 3 times a week before i found out i was pregnant. I asked my doctor and my gym owner what I should do and they both said i should simply only walk on the treadmill for no more than 30 minutes. Not to let you heartbeat get over 140 (as someone else has mentioned) and make sure you can talk while walking if you get out of breath stop immediately. The only reason I stopped was i was simply too tired to go. i will be starting again as soon as this tiredness goes.. Im 12 weeks too at the moment :-) Do not do any stomach excersises like sit ups or anything like that. the only thing i would even suggest to do is walk on the treadmill

You can definitley walk on a treadmill! I do about 3x a week. Just don't let you're heart beat get above 140, then you and you're baby will be ok! My doctor said that a low impact exercise routine is good for you! Especially, after you have the baby, it helps you slim down a lot quicker! : ) Plus, if you build up you're abdomen muscles that will help during labor. Hope this helps you! : )

It's fine to walk, don't push it, just have a nice slow walk and you will be fine, it's normal to gain weight during pregnancy, some woman more than others, you will lose it after you deliver, i'm sure you look beautiful, and may be worrying to much, eat right and rest also, and don't worry about what other people think, good luck.

My doc told me that a walk for 1/2- 1 hour a day is fine, so long and you're not pushing yourself and keep yourself hydrated. And don't worry about any comments that you get from other people about you being too large. You'll have plenty of time to lose weight after you have the baby. :-)

the better shape your in before birth, the easier they say it is in labor for you and its easier to lose the pregnancy lbs after. I walked everyday with my first and worked full time in a warehouse walking probably 20km just in my job and I lost the weight in about 1 month. exercise I say :)

Yeah I agree with the other girls there is no harm getting on it but not to push yourself. I have started going back to hill walking which I used to do a lot of before i worked such long hours!! But I don't push myself too much I just find my stride and stop when I need to. I don't know about where you live but I always feel better after getting outside in the air. But everyone is different some people prefer gyms

excercise cant hurt the baby unless you push yourself too hard.....just take it slow, and like the doctor said, it will be fine :) good luck!

you can exercise its alright just dont run just walk.. like me i cant exercise till i see my midwife because i was spotting.. but good luck and dont worry the doc said it was alright
