Thursday, 27 Aug I would always call your doc with questions like this, as much as we all try to help, we are not doctors, and it's best to call yours can get advice, especially since you are so near to delivery, and it will make you feel better in the long run. I hope this helps. xmelx88x -
Thursday, 27 Aug Hey dont worry! I went to the mw on Monday, i told her exactly what your asking, i keep having them regular (30 secs appart) she told me not to worry, as long as there not hurting or you are not bleeding then they are just practise contractions - aka Braxton Hicks. She said if they become painful and get worse then call or go to the hosp. Take Care Zaviersmommy -

Wednesday, 26 Aug I would call... The midwives over here emphasize that we should call for ANYTHING... and I believe them. It may be the only thing to ease your mind... just do it, girl! utopianite -
Wednesday, 26 Aug Could be early labor, which can last a week or more. If it is you'll find out at your next appointment if you've started to dilate. I wouldn't rush off to the hospital unless you're in pain, because they wouldn't do anything for you anyway. janinehampton -
Wednesday, 26 Aug DEFINATELY sound like BH's to me. I had exactly the same with my yungest for a whole week b4 I had him. its a real strange sensation, basically labour without the pain. I was told to rest but also walk around alot to ease them off, seemed to work for me but as Chrissy said, always call if u r worried xxxxx hope all is well xxx cheyni -
Wednesday, 26 Aug Hey hun,, They sound like braxton hicks... They can get really uncomfy towards the end.. I've been having them for days but yesterday morning i woke up @ 5am having contractions AND pains, went downstairs and @ 8am decided to have a bath and guess what - it stopped them!! Went to my GP who told me her head is fully engaged so could go at any time.. still havin some niggly pains but nothing to worry about just yet..., Am trying EVERYTHING i can to get her moving now but nothing working.... So maybe try having a bath and see if that helps the contractions.. Hope you feel better soon xx
