15-9-2008 - Evacuation

Hi, Friends!

I just wanted to send out an update...we had to evacuate Galveston and are currently w/family in Corpus Christi, TX until further notice. As soon as they open the island, we can go and check on our house...to see if it's gone or if it's just fine. Norah is doing great. She is really helping me deal w/this better. She's my little angel. My husband is taking wonderful care of me, as well. It's stressful, but hard times make the relationship stronger. He is my rock.

As for me, I am hanging in there. I am stressed, worried, concerned, etc...I know that everything will be all right, though! Friends like YOU make it bearable, too! I will be in touch again soon.

I just wondered how things were going for you. I hope that your family is ok, and there wasn't too much damage done to your house. I have a cousin that lives in Houston, but I don't think they got hit as hard as Galveston did.

We are in Florida and just a few yrs ago we went through 2 hurricanes back to back, so I know how stressful it is! Hang in there!

im glad to hear your ok! i had no idea thats where you lived. its so scary to see on tv. hopefully your home was spared!!! i will keep you in my thoughts. good luck!!
