| 23-1-2009 - First Blog On This Pregnancy | My mood while writing this blog:And the kids have chicken pox |
Hi girls! I love reading everyone's blog posts. So I decided it was time for me to say a few words about this current pregnancy. Well according to my first u/s that I had a 8w3d, there is only one baby in there. 'Sigh of relief' I love my twins, but I don't think I could do another twin pregnancy so soon. I am currently 15w4d and FINALLY the all day sickness stopped about a week ago. This was the first pregnancy that I needed medication to survive the first trimester. My Dr. in Canada prescribed Diclectin. I only took one pill a day, but it sure did the job.
I am feeling a few flutters every now and then. Most my other babies I didn't feel until 17-21w cause their placentas were always anterior and blocked all those lovely movements.
My twins are now 8 months old. Creed is crawling as of Sat. Jan. 17. Laud uses his rolling skills to get around. Creed weighs 17lbs. 15oz. and Laud is 18lbs. 7oz. They have stayed right within 8oz or so of each other. They have to have the most bland diet or otherwise their little bums break out. So they eat organic oatmeal, Mum Mums, and Cherrios plus their formula. I'm not sure I mentioned this but the boys are indeed Identical. We decided to DNA test them since what looked like one placenta was actually two fused. Most twins with two placentas are fraternal, but a small percentage are ID. We used www.dnasolutions.com for $99. They were really professional.
Finally we have been dealing with the chicken pox here for over 2 weeks. My 2yr old got it first. And now the 5 remaining children have it...even the twins. The girls have it the worst. So please pray that they don't scar on their little faces.
I have my next appointment on Monday Jan. 26, 2009. I haven't been in to see my Dr. since I was 8 weeks along...for various reasons like holidays, kids home from school, the chicken pox, super cold weather like -44 with the windchill. I'm actually excited to go in and hear the baby's heartbeat. I have heard it with my own doppler that I had purchased when I was pregnant with the twins. The baby's heartrate is about 149.
Hopefully, I'll be able to write a little more often.
