06-4-2008 - My Angel Baby Eli 2-15-08

On Valentines day I found out at 20 weeks pregnant my Baby had died. That day will be one of the worst days ever that I will have experienced in this lifetime. I felt part of me died too that day. I was due on July 5th 2008.

I had to be induced and go through labor and delivery as with any birth except my baby had died. I had the flu that week but it was determined the baby may have died 1 to 2 weeks prior, my body had just not rejected the pregnancy yet. In my heart of hearts I knew something was wrong, the baby had not moved and I was not gaining weight.

It was determined the cord to the baby was infected, called funisitis. It is the life line to the child therefore he did not survive. He was healthy and whole and so was I until getting sick with the flu.

We don't have control of life only our Creator God. Our baby lived a short life here but will live on in our hearts and in heaven. One day we will be reunited. I am thankful for God's great love that sustains us.
