My mood while writing this blog: Hopefull |
Hi Ladies,
Well we were back at the hospital today and the consultant said Ava's right foot looks like it is healing good however the left foot still looks quite nasty. However instead of jumping the gun and doing skin grafts he wants to wait one week to see if her little footsie will heal on its on. He reckons her nails may have taken the brunt of the damage and saved the deeper tissues, but he cannot tell for sure at the mo as her toes are still quite black and you cannot tell were her nail begins and ends. We left feeling positive and are hoping our brave little peanuts tootsies will heal by themselves. Need alot of prayes girls.
Thank you all soooooooooooooooooo much for all your support!!!! Love you guys so much xxxx
Cannot wait to see Ava in her halloween costume 2moro she is gonna be too cute. Happy Halloween all xoxox
Cant wait to see pics of your lil ones in their costumes.
xxxx

Wednesday, 11 Nov I haven't been on here in ages, but I read your posts about Ava's accident and I was overwhelmed with horror. You handled things sooooooo well!!! You are so brave to have dealt with everything so quickly and to have had the presence of mind to relate it back to the plumber!! Others may have simply gone out of their minds and not acted as well as you!! Your post about feeling overwhelmed is probably related to this event. I am no psychotherapist, but you just went through some serious emotional trauma, and it has likely unearthed your feelings for your mom. I'm so sorry you don't have her to lean on and share your motherhood experiences with. I'd highly recommend you look around and see if you can find a support group for new mums. We have one in Toronto called mumnet that offers babysitting for an hour while you work out followed by an hour of sharing with other mums!. I'm hoping to join it myself! Good luck with Ava.....babies are resilient....I'm sure if you teach her she is beautiful inside....any residual scarring will not matter!! LeLe0307 -
