May 29, 2008 12 week appointment

This was my second visit to the doctors. I saw Dr Molinar. I was so excited because I knew they would listen for the heartbeat. My husband came with me and we met with the doctor. He asked if there were and problems or concerns. Thank God NO! I told him that the prenatal they gave me is $40 with my copay. He gave me more samples and told me I can take any over the counter prenatal. The big moment was here to listen for the heartbeat. He said it could take several minutes. I was afraid of that because I am a plus size woman. He placed the doppler and right away I heard the swooshing of a heartbeat, he said thats your heartbeat... And continued to move the doppler around. After a few minutes of nothing he said I am just going to send you for an ultrasound. Well as I was nervous because he couldnt find the heartbeat I was also excited to get to see my peanut!! SO away we went to X-ray and we went in the room and the tech put the wand on my belly and wasnt even keyed in and my husband says is that the baby!! you could see this tiny thing moving around like crazy!! She said yep! She took lots of pictures and measured everything. She looked at my ovaries and told me I have a big cyst on one ovary and said that it was very common. She then let us look at our angel for a few minutes and took our pictures that we got to keep. I asked her is she could tell anything about what it is, she said no not yet LOL. So everything was great the heartbeat was 173!!
