| 22-6-2009 - Food Ideas/Suggestions | My mood while writing this blog:Gooood |
Even though I’m 17 weeks away from my due date, hopefully more along 13-15 weeks since I’m EXTREMELY active this pregnancy (no time to rest for the weary with a toddler in the house), I’ve begun compiling a list of foods I can make ahead of time, freeze and easily throw in the oven to cook while on maternity leave. One lesson I learned the first time around, when you’re sleep deprived, overwhelmed but still hungry neither you or your husband have the energy to cook, you end up eating a lot of “crap” and I refuse to do that again. I’ve come up with a short list but was hoping for suggestions from other moms or really good cooks for more ideas/recipes.
Here’s my list thus far, as you can see it’s short and I’d like to have two weeks (14 days) worth of meals in the freezer:
Meatloaf
Chicken
Pot Pie (Amish style)
Lasagna
Chicken and Broccoli Casserole
THANKS in advance for your help!
