Women have asked what medications they can take while pregnant, according to the list my doctor gave me, the following have been approved by the American Pregnancy Association:
HEADACHES
Acetaminophen (Tylenol) Regular or extra strength
NO Ibuprofen (Advil, Motril), Naproxen (Aleve) or Asprin
HEARTBURN
Maalox
Maalox Max
Mylanta
Tums
DiGel
Rolaids
Gaviscon
COLDS/SORE THROAT/FLU/COUGH
Tylenol-okay at anytime in pregnancy
Warm Salt/water gargle for sore throat
Saline nasal drops or spray for nasal congestion
Sudafed
Claritin over the counter
Robitussin
Robitussin DM for cough
Throat Lozenges are okay but NOT those with zinc.
DO NOT take "SA" (sustained action) or the "multi-symptom" forms of these drugs.

Immodium
Hemorrhoids
Anusol
