| 11-1-2010 - Baby Shower | My mood while writing this blog:Unbelievable... |
OK. So Rod's step mom was going to throw me a baby shower in Atlanta. She told me about this like in October or early November. We set a tentative date of the weekend after V-Day. So later when we plan on doing Christmas at our place she tells me we will discuss it then. Then at Christmas when we didn't talk about it she tells me that we will talk about it later since we didn't get a chance to then. So last week she tells me that her husband (Rod's father) said that they should not do the shower and just save the money to spend on the baby which is understandable since i know they want to spoil him. Well my thing is that I have already told people who asked who live around here that I was having one here and yada yada. So now i Have no shower or anything. One of my girls were mad because they said it takes away from people being able to give to me. I am not mad because she asked what I thought and I do honestly believe had I told her I was a little disappointed that she would still throw it. I told her that it was up to them. That we did not expect anything, but whatever they did or gave would be appreciated. SO she went with the gifts instead of the shower.
So with that said. Is it tacky that I am thinking of planning a shower for myself and will just ask one of my friends to host it for me? I know it would be relatively inexpensive because we could do it at a restaurant so it would be free. I would just pay for the cake and the gifts for teh games.
