04-2-2010 - WHat to expect....

ALRIGHT~~~~ so i came and got on my dads computer! SO on 21 Jan 2010 i went fot my 37 week apt, when i got there i had high blood pressure at 140/90 yikes!!! well the doctor came in and told me i was spilling proteins in my pee and that they wanted me to go to OB Triage to be watched for a little while for my blood pressure. so i went down stairs at the hospital and checked into triage. they hooked me up to check on addy mind you this was at 1300. well they watched me for a few hours and they decided to open a room in triagre and sent me to L&D. well my doctor came in and told me that they were going to have to keep me in the hospital for the duration of my pregnancy. i got terrified! I only came in for my appt!!! well about an hour later my doctor came back in and said well since you are 37 weeks tomorrow lets just get this started, i didnt know what to say!!! lol! so they put a pill in my ... yeah to get my cervix to start opening and let me walk arond for a few, i requested a room with a bath and took a few dips in the bath, that was nice. after a couple hours they came in and checked me i had not really made too much progress, i was 3cm and 50% so they decided to break out the big guns and give me pitocin. after that... no more baths.... at this potin i was doing ok. I had lasted 16 hrs at this point with no pain meds! they came in and uped the dose of pit and that was it! i couldnt take it anymore. I decided to get my epidural, along with and epidural i had to get magnesium because my blood pressure was till SKY HIGH! so from there i was bed ridden and stuck it out, i shopped at target .com!!! hahah! well i waited 7 more hours when they came in and broke my water! 1 hour after they broke the water i was ready to go! i pushed for 2 hours!!! haha the good part was my doctor was unable to come for the delievry so they sent in Dr. Smith..... well let me tell you he was HOT!!! ummmm ummm... he was good lookin, so it made things worth while, Addy was his 9th baby!!! crazy!!! he was an excellent dr! well any back to the story... Adelynn Kay-Lee Corbin was bor 22 Jan 2010 at 2327!!! weighing in at 5lbs 0oz and 19.5 in long!!!! she made it just in time to share a birthday with her great grandma! wow!! well thats my story! crazy!!! if anyone has questions or anything please feel free!!! i think i went through just about everything!!! lol
