Yaaaay :) I'm getting further and further along! This excites me :) I've had some pretty bad problems with my sciatic nerve though. I got stuck in the kitchen the other day, cuz every time I went to move, it felt like a knife was getting shoved deeper and deeper into a group of nerves! It took my breath away when it initally happened, and even brought a couple tears to my eyes. My mom, being an RN (THANK YOU GOD!) was eventually able to help me get to my hands and knees and had me let me belly hang there, to take the pressure off my back, and in hopes that my baby girl would move! She didn't move, but it felt better while I was like that. So if you're having issues with your sciatic nerve, just get down on your hands and knees and let your belly hang. It feels rather good :) It's no use in trying to massage it away.. It doesn't work, I've tried lol.
On a good note.. Saturday night (1.12.08), coming back from the grocery store, I felt these little pulses in my belly. At first I thought it may have been just gas, but it kept happening, so I knew it was my baby girl :) I think she had the hiccups! I moved around so that I could pull my coat out of the way and move the seatbelt and stuck my belly out and put my hand on it to see if I could feel it, and I could! I got all excited and grabbed Kamil's hand and put it on my belly and said "Babe! She's hiccupping! You should be able to feel her!" He started to smile, but only cuz he got excited. He pushed his hand down and I felt it a few times and kept asking him each time "did you feel it?! Did you feel it?!?" He kept saying no then said I don't know what I'm feeling! Is that her??? I laughed and nodded my head and he pushed his hand down a little harder and it happened two more times, and it was rather strong and I asked him both times if he felt it that time. He got so excited! He's like YEA! I FELT IT! THAT'S MY BABY GIRL! He had such a huge smile. Even bigger than when we've gone to our ultrasounds! I think this made the pregnancy so much more real to him. Of course, with him being a guy, he can't feel anything my body feels as I'm going through all these changes. He just knows what I tell him, and he's only been able to see her in 2D in black and white at the u/s's. So now that he's actually felt her move, I think he finally realized that there's a baby girl in my tummy, and that she's his daughter, and that he's gonna be a daddy in May :D
I'M SO UNBELIEVABLY EXCITED!! We've already decided on a name, but I'm not letting anybody know until she decides to make her way into the world. People keep asking me, but I tell them it's secret, they'll have to wait :) My best friend and I went around yesterday and looked at all kinds of baby stuff, and we even went to Jo Ann Fabrics to look at invitation stuff and cake decorating stuff. I think we're gonna make my cake :D And it's gonna be soooo much fun. Hopefully it turns out like the pictures we've got :-P And she found some really cute invitations at Michaels, and I think she's gonna go get them on Friday, and she said if I don't like them we can always take them back. She described them to me, so I think they'll be adorable :D I just feel kinda bad right now, cuz Kamil and I are struggling financially, and I can't really give her any money right now to help with the expenses. I told her this while we were having lunch, and she said it was ok. I had told her that I know that I can't really give her any money right now, but that in March, around the baby shower, I'll be able to give her a bit. She's totally fine with it :D I'm so glad I've got such an awesome friend, and she'll be an awesome Aunt to my baby :) She's already so excited. I think her excitement levels have surpassed mine right now!
Our apartment hunt continues. I'm trying to convince Kamil to take me with him in the morning so we can go look at this apartment I found on rent.com. We had put in our apps to this subsidized place, and they said that they'll check our credit and we'll go on a waiting list :( They wouldn't tell me how long the list was, and I can't call and ask where on the list we are. I have to jump through firey hoops before I can find out. They suck. lol. So I'm pretty much ruling that place out. It would have been nice, cuz rent is only 30% of your income, but oh well I guess. We can't wait around forever lol. Hopefully within the next couple weeks Kamil will be able to snag a full-time job. I think he's trying to get this Customer Service Manager job at Wal-Mart. It's a full time position, and I'm hoping they offer insurance and such. And I think the pay is 70 cents more than what he's making now. So that'll put him at over $11/an hour. I think. I'm too tired to do the math. But that'll be good! We'll definitely be able to afford our own place then. I know I seem kind of selfish, but it's soooo hard to live with your parents while being married and pregnant at the same time. It' s just too stressful to have 2 families under the same roof. Meh. At least we've got food to eat right now.
Anyway, I'm falling asleep! I've gotta try and get Kamil away from the other computer so we can go home and I can crawl into bed. Good night mommies and babies!! *mooches*
