| 16-2-2010 - Hopsital Visit #1 | My mood while writing this blog:Amused! |
Hello!
Had to visit the hospital last night. After hubby got home, the 3 of us went grocery shopping. I had a HUGE cart, very heavy, and was pushing that around the store. Kamil & Alyvia were over looking at the fish and playing with toys (much easier that way, for sure!) And I've been cleaning quite a bit, moving things I probably shouldn't, etc.
I started to have contractions. At first, it was just my belly getting hard which was just uncomfortable. But then it started to HURT. I had to keep stopping, lean on the cart and try to breath, it was hurting so bad. I went into the produce section to finish up my grocery shopping but wasn't able to get what I needed. I just walked to the checkout where Kamil was waiting and told him we had to check out now, I was hurting way too bad. By the time we got into a lane, I was in tears, trying not to start bawling. After we checked out, we got home, Kamil put everything away and as soon as my mom came to get Alyvia, we headed to L&D.
Got there, peed in a cup, got hooked up to the heartrate/contraction monitor and waited. As I lay there, waiting for the nurse to come back in, I started to remember EVERYTHING from my L&D with Alyvia. I got so scared, I wanted to get up and leave! Hahah! I don't want to do this again - merely because I remember how bad it hurt, and I HATE PAIN!! Too late, I know. Shoulda thought about that earlier.. hahaha
The nurse came back in and said that she wasn't seeing very many contractions (so I actually was contracting, just like I thought!) and that my pee showed I was DEHYDRATED. Who would have thought! I drink so much stinkin' water during the day, I had no idea. I didn't even know that being dehydrated could cause such bad contractions! Now I do.
I was discharged after a couple hours total, and was sent home with the promise that I would drink lots and lots and lots of water (aka 8785103321549 gallons... :o] ) So now I get to sit home and drink lots of water and wonder when this lil' man is going to make an entrance! Hopefully by the time I do go into labor, I can maybe be a little more ready for him, mentally!
*sighs*
