13-8-2009 - Dr Appointment tomorrow

My mood while writing this blog:
nervous

Hi Ladies!

just a quick update- i have my dr appointment tomorrow at 2pm... and i couldnt be any more nervous! they wont schedule me for another ultrasound unless the dr tomorrow schedules me for one- because they said since i had one at 6 weeks, i dont need another one- which i dont agree with AT ALL. i need the peace of mind that the baby is infact growing in there! after my m/c in march.. my nerves about everything are just going crazy! the reassured me that they will check the heartbeat with the doppler- but thats where i get nervous. im so nervous theyre not going to be able to find it. i know in my heart that everything is going to be ok,but im asking all of you to keep us in your prayers!! i'll let you all know the results when i get home =o)

Seems like once the unimaginable has happened, it forever haunts your mind. You and baby will be fine and I will keep you in my prayers:-) They NEVER find the heartbeat with me before 16 weeks, Ive gotten used to it. Become a chronic complainer of imaginary symptoms that only an imediate u/s can fix,lol! Best wishes....

Not very cool of the doc to refuse your scan. I say push for what you want girl!!! I'm wishing you the very very very best at your appointment and after two losses myself, I TOTALLY know the anxiety you feel, if you ever want to chat about it, hit me up. But I think its all going to be great!

Good luck for tomorrow, i will be thinking of you. I agree that you should be having a 12 week ultr sound just to put your mind at rest. I was the same after my m/c, i had a scan at 6 weeks but was so nervous about another m/c. Just talk to your doc tomorrow and explain that your nervous and im sure he will scheduloe another u/s for you. Good luck x

Now i wouldnt worry they will take good care of you! :) You dont want to stress out your body right now. :) I am sure everything will be wonderful! if its a nice strong heart beat there is no need to see it there is growth. but my Midwife was nice and to set my mind at ease she always gave me an ultrasound done by her. now she had NO CLUE what she was doing but being able to see my baby put my mind at ease lol

Ok this will sound odd, but I almost hope they cant find the heartbeat with the doppler because then they will use the ultrasound to show you the heartbeat and you'll get to see you wee one too! I've heard of this happening to a couple girls. So don't freak out if they cant find it at first. Best of luck sweetie! You'll be fine :)

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. I know what you mean about the anxiety. When you see the dr. you should really explain your nervousness to him/her. My dr. has been really good about doing all she can to ease my worries. I have a great feeling about this one! Let us know as soon as you can!

You'll do great! I was like you at my first appointment to hear the heartbeat. I was a nervous wreck! But I knew deep in my heart everything was ok. As soon as the doctor put the doppler on my tummy there it was. My doctor told me before he did it that if we don't hear it... don't freak out (he knows me all too well). Sometimes it takes a little longer to hear it in some women. He said he would order an ultrasound right away to take a look at the baby. I still worry when I go in there. It's all in our minds because of the past experiences we have had. I will be praying hard for you. You are not alone in this. Please let us know how your appointment goes. Remember to think positive! =)

I know exactly how you feel, the pregnancy I had 2 yrs ago, the Dr couldn't find the heartbeat and sure enough my bean had passed shortly after.... On a more positive note, the pregnancy I had right after was a complete success.... but that appointment waiting to hear the heartbeat is still a nerve racking one so you are in my thoughts and prayers.... and everything will be just fine mommas =)
