| 22-9-2009 - 17 weeks 6 days |  My mood while writing this blog:ok |
hello ladies.
its been awhile since ive written a blog- i usually have enough time to just pop on here and read whats going on with everyone. I'll be 18 weeks tomorrow... which is CRAZY because i feel like i just found out i was pregnant.
I was really sick in the beginning, which is something i wasn't used to because my pregnancy with my son was the easiest thing ive ever gone through. Ive felt fine since around 13 weeks or so, so i've been happy about that. I know each pregnancy is different, ive read stories.. ive heard people talk about it- but sometimes.. well actually, most of the time- i just get really nervous about things. With my son, who was my first... i felt move at around 16 weeks. My husband felt him for the first time when i was 22 weeks. I'll be 18 weeks tomorrow, and I'm still not sure if ive actually felt the baby move at all. I've felt a few nudges a few time over the course of a few weeks.. but what if it was just gas? I can feel my stomach getting hard- but it hardly looks like im pregnant AT ALL. i know its all in my head.. but i feel like im making myself crazy!! i had to switch to maternity pants a few weeks ago because i coudldnt even button my biggest pair of pants i had.
My next drs apt is on Thursday at 2:20. Once i hear the heartbeat it was ease all my worries. we've seen the baby twice on u/s now... but still havent heard the heartbeat. I'll let all of you know how my apt goes =o)

Well the u/s should give you some comfort :) If the baby is moving around and having a good time then I'm sure everything is fine! :) And I can understand about gas vs. movement. Some days I'm SURE it's him and other days I second guess and think maybe it's been gas all along....

don't worry about the movment thing. it was the same with me. my daughter started kicking and i mean kicking at 14 weeks. she was a real mover. this time around i did not get for sure movment until 17 week, and even now at 23 weeks he still does not move nearly as much or as agressively as my daughter. he just kinda kicks a little and that is it. so, don't freak out about the movment trust me.

I'm in the same boat as you ... I felt me second con move around 15 weeks. I'm 16 weeks and still not sure if I felt him move yet ... soon I will : )

wow time is flying! your almost half way, that went so quick! if your pants are straining at the buttons then that's all a good sign things are progressing smoothly! i didn't feel my first 3 children till 19 weeks and this one (no.4) was 21 weeks, and because it's such a gentle thing hubby didn't feel it from the outside till atleast 26 weeks! so i wouldn't stress about it, you'll get there soon enough. they are all different.

Hi, it is good to hear from you again! As littlesunshine says, if the placenta is located at the front it will take a little longer to feel the kicks. With my DD I felt her kicks at about 19 - 20 weeks, so I think that you felt them pretty early with your son. I hope that your next appointment goes well and that you get to hear the sweet sound of your little one's heartbeat!

I know its hard not to worry but you may not be feeling you baby due to the location of your placenta. good luck on Thu.

18 weeks already wow that has gone quick!!!! im 38 weeks today and time seems to be at a stand still right now. Good luck at your appointment on thursday, will be thinking of you x Take Care

I will be 18wks this Friday, and I can't say I am sure I fet the baby either. I too, felt a nudge here and there, but nothing I would conclusively say "wow, that was the baby!" They did an u/s at the ER last wed. and DR said baby was fine with a strong heartbeat. So I am SURE your baby is OK:-) My last baby, I didn't feel her until I was almost 22 weeks, I worried and then though maybe she will just be a laid back kind of baby. Hahahaha, how wrong I was:-) Are you finding ut the gender? Can't wait to read your update! Best wishes and glad you have been doing OK, havent heard from you in a while.

Dont worry you will feel baby soon enough! I was soo shocked by how active Karleigh-Rae was, and i barely felt flutters! I cant wait for the real thing!! I cant wait to hear how your appt goes Thurs! XO
