| 04-2-2010 - 37 week appt | My mood while writing this blog:good |
hello my lovely friends!
not much has happened since my last update. i had my 36 week appt and told them about the mistake with the nurse entering my weight wrong- they agreed with me, and fixed it. i was still the same weight as i was the week before. the dr measured me, and told me im still measuring about a week or two bigger than im suppose to- which is what ive been all along so there wasnt anything to worry about.
at my appt yesterday, my weight was the same again. total weight gain so far is 13 pounds, which still shocks me, because like ive said before- i think i had gained that in my first pregnancy, the second i found out i was pregnant! the minute the nurse took me back to the room she commented on how much bigger i had gottten since last week.. and she asked if i knew a rough guess on how big he was. i didnt- but that was my one big question for the dr anyways, because ive been getting nervous. im a lot bigger than i was last time. my first son- was small.. 6 lbs 13 oz. i delivered him naturally, with no drugs- and it was rough! i couldnt imagine going naturally with a bigger baby!... but i didnt need to say anything, the first thing he said when he came in was-- "so, when was your last u/s!??" the nurse must have told him i felt like a whale- he was really nice about it though... explaining that he wants to give me peace of mind and same goes for him. he said the last thing he wants, is for me to have a 10 pound baby and have to have an emergency c-section if the baby is too large to come out. he doesnt want the shoulders to get stuck. he told me their guess on the weight isnt 100% accurate, but it can offer a rough guess for them. im just happy either way! i get to see my little boy again, and hopefully get some more pictures!
my other concern was my hands and my fingers, feel like they are broken. i wake up in the morning, and cant open my hands. i have to pry my fingers apart- its horrible. the tips of my fingers tingle, like pins and needles all day long. they told me weeks ago it was pregnancy carpal tunnel syndrome and it would go away soon after i had the baby. but the cramping and not being able to move my fingers in the morning is new. he told me it was excess fluid building up around the joints and tendons at night, and its just something else that is related to being pregnant.
other than that- my urine came back fine my blood pressure is great-- so 3 more weeks or less to go and i'll have my other little man here!
Hope everyone is doing fantastic!! =o)
xoxo
