11-3-2010 - 16 Weeks, 2 days - 3rd Midwife app.

My mood while writing this blog: Happy happy happy!

Hi Ladies,

Well just back from my 16 week check with the midwife and all is normal, normal, normal - yey! The GTT test I did Tuesday was also normal so I don't have GD...yet! Fingers crossed it comes back normal when I have to repeat the test at 28 weeks. I got to hear little peanuts heartbeat again which was just wonderful. I am so in love with him/her just by hearing that most amazing little noise inside of me. I have my next appointment with the midwife booked for mid-May - it seems like ages away but I'm sure it will fly by! But before then I have my 20 week scan, just waiting for the date to come through. I can't wait to see peanut again!

I'm slowly begining to realise that this is really happening...to ME! Yipee!!! I can't fit in any of my pre-pregnancy trousers anymore so it's maternity wear for the next 6 months for me. I managed to pick up a bundle of maternity clothes from e-bay which worked out to about £2.20 and item - bargain! That along with a few bits in the sale at New Look and Mothercare and then some new jeans from Debenhams, I think I should have my pregnancy wardrobe sorted....if i can resist tempation to buy more that is - ha ha!

It is my cousins funeral on Monday. I'm still dreading going, but I feeling a bit more positive and over the initial shock of it all. DH is coming along too so good to know he will be there for support. It will be held at a crematorium, so we will sit at the back, that way if I'm not coping we can sneak out and just rejoin everyone at the wake after.
