24-7-2009 - Life update

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Just a quick update on things going on. So far pregnancy is good, no issues no concerns just moving along as expected. Have U/S on the 31st looking forward to that I will be almost 21 weeks. I'm 20 tomorrow YAY! My youngest is doing well, now 23 pounds and 15 months old. He still isn't talking but he knows what your saying so i'm not really worried. He had a dermatologist appointment today because he has deformed skin on his head from where the cord was against him while forming. They had talked of doing a skin graph but now they figure it will be fine and it seems to be growing as his head grows so I am much relieved! Other then that he seems to have come down with a mild hand foot and mouth virus. Its mild enough however they aren'y treating ti and he said it should go away soon. My middle son is as always, a busy child who just wants to run about outside. My oldest is doing much better since getting his tonsels out. He seems less irritable, less snappy, less angst and quick tempered. For those who were not aware he has always been diagnosed as ADD. I began to do some reading about ADD and discovered children with enlarged tonsils and adnoids often have apnea which is closely connected to ADD. His tonsels were absolutely huge, about a 1/4 inch gap between them normally. So he had them removed June and so far it has made a huge difference in all the ADD-like symptoms. The true test will come in September when he is back at school but its been over a month since he flew off the handle so I am hopeful. He did say he feels like he actually sleeps now, like he is not tired when getting up in the morning.

Other then that I got my hair crazy dyed today LOL I will attach a picture. My friend owns her own salon and needed someone to guinea pig a new color line on so I volunteered. I really like it, its super cute but very bright!!

Your youngest son and mine are almost the same age...Mine is about 1 yr 5 months...And he isnt talking yet either. All he says is mama papa and a lot of gabble that he tries to pass off as "talk"... sounds so cute..and he looks right at you when he gabbles...something like mama gla glee ubbb lee loo leaaalooo ma ma....I am sure your must be trying too...Glad to hear about his skin getting better on its own. My son has an angioma on his nose and I am so releived its getting better on its own...LOVE your hair...wish i had a firend like that...SIGHHHHHHH...post more pictures. And thank god ...your lucky you were able to pinpoint the reason your son was having sleep apnea.....I am happy for you...went to the doc today she pushed up my due date by 10 days so i stiill in week 18...lol

Hair looks great! I hate when the little ones have problems, it is heartbreaking because you wish you could take it all away. Take care!
