18-6-2008 - Heartbeat - 160 BPM

Wow...I am so glad that I rented the doppler. It is such a relief to check in on my little one any time I want to. I am going to have to do some research though about fetal heart rate in pregnacy. The heartbeat had been running 173 at the Dr.'s office in the last two visits. Since I got the doppler it was running 166 last week and this week is running 160. I think that I read once already that it is normal for it to begin to come down at the fetus increases in size and the organs are formed and beginning to function...but I'll have to look into it again and see what I can find out about it.

Daddy is still so sweet and cute when he kisses and talks to my belly. He pretty much kisses it every night before going to bed and he'll talk to "Daddy's Girl"...he keeps calling the baby a girl. The moment of truth will come on delivery day in December. We are planning to wait to find out. How cool...and what a neat surprise it will be on delivery day. I kind of think this one is a girl too. THE HOLY GRAIL....Everyone in my family is dying for a girl to be born into it. I would LOVE to have a boy too. Whatever we have this little one will be so loved and so spoiled.
