10-9-2008 - Physio for S.P.D

My mood while writing this blog:
In pain!

Had my physio appointment yesterday! finally!

Firstly went in and saw a really nice lady, she asked me my symptoms and said its definetly Symphisis pubis disfunction..

She gave me a support belt for my pelvis

Advised me not to return to work as standing all day would make it worse and unbearable!

Gave me a couple of exercises to do and said that theres not much they can do as theres nothing to get rid of it and pain would everntually get worse! great!! :(

Showed me what was going on on this skeleton and it seems the pelvis bone at the front is coming apart and making the hip bones separate too!

Told me to wear the belt straight away and have a little walk about with it in the day to get used to it..so me and my mum decided to go baby shopping seen as though the spd was not too bad.. bad idea!

after about an hour i was in agony, walking like a duck and felt like my thighs, hips and pelvis was on fire!

Was so upset and fustrated with myself that i couldnt walk or move properly..when i got home felt so depressed and didnt sleep all night as the bone kept clicking and moving in bed.

Just wish i could work and feel normal again! also baby been breech is not helping the pelvis as babies bum is pushing on it more..walking is becoming a struggle more and more and feel like crying everytime i have to move..

Other then that big long moan..! managed to get baby alot yesterday! and mum and dad are going to buy the pram for us on friday!! soooo excited!!

And although this pain is absolute hell i am so excited to meet baby i just want to cuddle and kiss him/her now!!hope ur all well and babies are doing well!

Hi, glad to here they are trying to help out with the pain although it might not feel like it just now.
What were your begining symptoms? I'm only asking because I'm starting to get a slight pain on my lower pelvis just on one side, I'm hoping its just growing pains.
Stairs are becoming a issue now I'm getting knackard walking up the ones to work everyday I feel so unfit. Lucky I live on the ground floor in my lot of flats.
Also my little one is breech too, plenety of time for him to turn though.

Aww I guess I cant say I hope you feel better cuz that doesnt seem to be possible.. I guess Ill just say Im sorry :o( And itll all be worth it Im sure!!!!!

Hang in there hun! I hope the pain gets better.... :( Dont worry we all rant on here...it's just what we do! We are pregnant...we have every reason to! hehe =) Did Dr. say u might have a C-section?

oh you absolute soul.. im in pelvic pain hell just now.. ive been on the phone all morning trying to get the pysio to bring forward my appointment..

this pregnancy the front is not affected .... YET

but i have chronic pelvic girdle pain - i can sit down for too long -or stand up - or lie down.. im just waiting till i cant open my legs to walk..

i have 19 more weeks of this, and like you ive been told its only going to get worse..
im finding the heat things with the beads in them thats you can microwave are helping the most.
