05-12-2008 - SWEEP!!

My mood while writing this blog: Great

I had my sweep done today!!

Midwife checked my blood pressure and babys heartbeat both were fine..

Then came the sweep!!

Was a little uncomfortable but not as bad as i expected it to be.. She said cervix is really soft and im 2cm dilated and waters are bulging!!

She said she was touching babys head and as she was sweeping the membranes away that got a little bit more uncomfortable but not too bad.. She also said i had a contraction while she was doing it, which i knew but wasnt sure, iv been having them all day 20 minutes apart but then they started going irregular tut!

The midwife said she would be very suprised if i havent had the baby over weekend and if not i will be getting induced on tuesday hopefully! I will be 12 days over then. I feel so much better about everything and feel like its definetly going to happen this weekend! i hope!

I asked her about my pelvis and she said they will make sure i try to have a natural labour before a c-section is needed and there are different positions to help my pelvis during labour. so feeling really positive about that too!
