19-12-2008 - Poppy Ella Rae and me!

My mood while writing this blog: tired but happy!

Well Poppy is 13 days old today and thing are going well!!

I cant believe how much i love her shes amazing....

The midwife says shes doing well and she now weighs 9lb 2oz! im no longer breast feeding i only did it for the first 2 days she wanted to be fed every 20 minutes because she was big and was very hungry all the time it made it so hard. so shes now on bottle and is taking just over 4oz! i was a little concerned her taking all that so soon but midwife said its fine shes just a big hungry baby!

we had a little scare on tuesday night it was her first day out and we had been out all day shopping and when we got home later on she feel asleep and her body went all limp and she wouldnt respond she also had a rash on her chest i panicked as you would and we took her straight to hospital they kept her in over night and we obviously stayed with her they took alot of blood from her which made me so upset i could stay in the room and left her with ashley it was horrible but in the end it turns out shes perfectly healthy and nothing wrong with her, they think because she was out all day getting fresh air it maybe knocked her into a deep sleep bless her and the rash was maybe just a bit dry skin! sounds so silly now but glad i took her in..

Her sleep pattern is very strange she will sleep all day sometimes going 5 and half hours without a feed then on the night shes wide awake and will not sleep although its getting a little better, so any tips would be appreciated!

Ashley has been a brilliant Dad i cant believe how well he has taken to it were loving been parents!!

My SPD is getting slowly better, it still hurts alot but not as much as before! im starting to feel abit more like myself now too, although i havent been weighed yet and still got plenty to shift! but who cares its christmas! i will start after! :)
