<font face=papyrus> So, Thursday, May 22nd, I fell UP the stairs and started having some serious cramping. I called my doctors office and they told me to go in to Labor & Delivery to get everything checked out.
So I got to L&D around 3:30pm or so and they hooked me up to the monitors and all that. I was actually having contractions every 2 minutes. They got pretty intense after an hour or two. I did have some cervical change, so now I am 4-5cm dilated, 80% effaced and he's at 0 station. They contractions kept up for about 7hrs and then they slowed down and eventually just stopped. Kinda sucked cuz I wanted to hold my little man but I was in so much pain that I was kind of relieved. They wouldn't give me anything for pain until they knew for sure I was going to deliver. They gave me an IV of fluids and a shot in the butt to help me relax. The shot didn't help me relax for anything! They also said since I was just about 37wks, they wouldn't induce labor. I would have to go into labor on my own. Come on! I was in soooo much pain! It's like Cayden is just teasing me and playing games already! Anyway, around 9:30am I got to leave and go home. I couldn't wait to lay my ass down on the couch!
Okay, now on to Saturday, May 24th. Around 8pm I started having contractions. Again, they got to about 2mins apart and were lasting about 45-55 seconds. They weren't too awfully painful but they lasted about 5hrs and then again, they eventually drifted away. I didn't sleep very well at all. Kept waking up every hour in intense pain but I would always fall back asleep. Don't know how but I did. Maybe he's just waiting for my Mom to get here! She'll be here on Wednesday and I can't wait! My sister and step father are coming too! Yay!!!!! That would be soooo awesome if my Mom could be there for the birth of my 2nd. She couldn't make it to my first.
