TWO WEEK WAIT RAMBLINGS.....
CD16: (2 or 3 dpo)
Well.... we're officially into the two week wait.... and it's going to be a looooong two weeks. I'm terribly swamped with photography work, really anxious about returning to work at the hospital, and school starts next week. I have to try very hard not to stress just incase we do have a little one taking shape.... but not feeling overwhelmed right now seems nearly impossible.
I love my dear husband and I love the baby dance.... but I'm a little relieved to have a bit of a break here for a few days... the past 2 weeks have been exhausting. :)
CD17: (3 or 4 dpo)
Decided that if I experience any symptoms.... I'm going to test on June 1st. If I don't have any symptoms... I'll wait to see if af shows up. So.... only 12 more days until possible testing.... June 1st is on a Sunday. I thought it would be nice to get a bfp & then go straight to church to pray about it. :) I'm confident that that is just what will happen. :) God is sooooo good.
sticky cm again (yuck) so 'o' is definitely well over with..... I'm almost sure that Friday or Saturday was the day.... had ewcm on Saturday.
I'm not sure about all of this cm stuff... I've never kept track of this stuff before.... hopefully this will be the last month!
CD18: (4 or 5 dpo)
Alright... 4 or 5 dpo & I woke up with a stuffy nose & eye drainage. I hope my body isn't playing tricks on me. It seems way too soon for symptoms but you never know. I'll be more convinced if tomorrow brings more symptoms.
something very strange happened last night.... my husband had a drink in a can and when I took a drink of it, it tasted like dirty metal. ? I had him take a drink and he didn't taste anything. I took 2 or 3 drinks just to make sure and it was terrible. Now~ I don't know if this could have anything to do with pregnancy or not because I never experienced anything like that with my first... but I wanted to document it anyway just incase.
CD19: (5 or 6 dpo)
Nothing obvious this morning... same as yesterday~ headache & nasal congestion. I also had a very vivid nightmare last night about killer bumble bees?? This is probably how this wait is going to go.... symptoms here and there but nothing to really give it away. I'm just going to have to be patient!
We did have to go to the grocery store at 11 last night so that I could get ice cream.... but that doesn't seem too out of the ordinary. I've always loved ice cream, pregnant or not. But this ice cream last night was incredible.... I don't think it's normal to nearly orgasm over mint chocolate chip ice cream (in a chocolate flavored sugar cone I might add).... or is it?
I'm a little grumpy (change that to very grumpy)... which isn't normal. I just want to curl up with a blanket on the couch and forget about everything I have to get done today. And my hands smell of pork from preparing dinner.... which really grosses me out.
The periodic headaches are really throwing me off....
I think God likes to keep me guessing sometimes so that He can suprise me later. I'm looking forward to seeing what these next few days bring......
..... only 9 more days until we know something..... :) patience. patience. patience.
CD20: (6 or 7dpo)
I can't believe it's CD20 already.... the days are coming and going like crazy...
Feel like I'm coming down with a sinus infection.... another morning with a headache and stuffy nose..... and I'm also developing a bit of a sore throat. Had another ridiculous dream last night about a guy that was cut in half.... and he was still living?
I have no idea where these dreams are coming from.
I was e.x.t.r.e.m.e.l.y. irritable last night which is very unlike me... my poor hubbie. I just wanted to be left alone. We're going on a trip this weekend.... I hope I'm not a crazy woman all weekend long. I would love to be pregnant.... I'll take the throwing up, sore boobs, and congestion any day~ but I've never been a mean person. Oh well... hopefully the irritability is from some major hormone shifts that are taking place. :)
also wanted to mention and perhaps this is tmi.... my hubbie and I were jogging last night and I had so much wet cm that I thought I had peed my pants.... I don't know if this is normal or not because I've never charted cm but my goodness.... I know that I've never thought I peed my pants because of it.
We're heading out of town for the weekend.... so I don't know when I'll be able to update again. Hopefully the weekend will bring about more symptoms.... and next weekend will bring about a bfp. :)
Good luck to all of you ttc and in the two week wait.... I know it's tough. Hang in there & keep your heads high. We'll all be pregnant in perfect timing. :) (which is hopefully within the next month right?)
CD22: (7 or 8 dpo)
very very very light spotting this morning.... but nothing since. & it's been accompanied by af like cramping. I'm hoping so much that this is implantation as I'm still one week away from af!! :) I've also had a stuffy nose, headaches, shooting pains in my bbs, and the strange dreams have continued. According to the ovulation calendar... it says that implantation should be occuring tomorrow so it seems as if everything is right on schedule if this is what I've experienced. :)
Everything is looking really good but I'm still trying very hard not to assume things. I'm praying and praying and praying that if we do have a little one... that he or she will be just perfect for the next 9 months. :) Only 7 more days until we know for sure!
CD23: (8 or 9 dpo)
really tired today and still have a stuffy nose & headache.... and now my skin is breaking out (more than ever).
also a little bit of crampiness & I've had just a little bit more of that brown tinged cm.
UPDATE: having more dark brown spotting in the evening.... it's very little but still there periodically. I hope so much that it's just normal implantation happening and that nothing serious is going on. I'm starting to get a little nervous. I may call my doc's office tomorrow to see what they think..... although I'm sure that they'll just advise me to test in a few days. It's not accompanied by any cramping so maybe it's just leftover from yesterday.
The days are flying by! I can't wait for next Sunday to hurry up and get here....so we know something for sure. :) Only 6 more days!
CD24: (9 or 10 dpo)
I had some more brown spotting this morning.... and it's been 2 1/2 days now so it's beginning to make me anxious. I called my doc's office to ask about it and this is the response I got....
"A lot of women have implantation bleeding.... most often when they're pregnant with multiples. It's usually a good indication that everything is happening like it should be. Take a test one day before your period is due & call us if you're pregnant so that we can get your progesterone & hcg's checked."
So.... it sounds as if this is a good thing. However~ I'm a bit nervous about how long it has lasted. I read online that it can last one-two days and can sometimes be mistaken for a very light, early period. Af isn't due for another week....
I'm going to do a bit more research on it.... and then hand it over to God. I just need to relax & pray. It's really all I can do at this point. Oh... and wait, wait, wait. This waiting is bound to make us all crazy.
CD25: (10 or 11 dpo)
I'm still bleeding.... I'm really starting to wonder if I've had an early miscarriage.... that the baby didn't implant well. It started out like a regular implantation bleed. I was passing little tiny bits of brown tissue. And now it's gotten heavier. It's still dark brown but It looks the same as what I was losing with my first miscarriage. It's nothing like af. I'm only bleeding when I use the restroom..... no other times. One time it will be very light.... one time it will seem closer to moderate. Either way.... Implantation bleeds surely don't last for this long.
I talked to a friend in my nursing class last night who was pregnant with twins. Her implantation bleed lasted for two weeks and her doctor told her that it was because her uterus was stretching so quickly to accomodate the baby. I'm trying to remain positive but it's very hard. I just wonder what is going to happen with my cycle now.... if I'm not pregnant.... is this considered my cycle? Or will I start af when I'm supposed to next week?
What a mess.
I'm so miserable today. I'm so tired of being confident that I'm pregnant and finding out that I'm not. This is heartbreaking and I don't know why it's happening to me. All I want is a healthy baby.... and that doesn't seem like too much to ask.
Sorry I'm so negative this morning.... I think it's important to be honest and I want to share the bad with the good. Not everyday is perfect & I'll look back later and be glad that I was able to acknowledge these bad days.
Thank you all so much for your support and prayers. ~ Jamie
CD25: UPDATE:
I've done some more research on implantation bleeding.... and I've decided that I need to relax and see what happens. It seems that a lot of women experienced moderate bleeding for 4 days- 2 weeks during the first part of their pregnancies.... and they carried to full term.
So... it's too soon to give up. Hopefully this bleeding is just a great indication that the egg is really burrowed into there good.... and it's not going anywhere. :)
I freaked out this morning because the blood reminded me so much of my miscarriage. I think that I jumped to conclusions and immediately assumed the worse outcome. Though it is possible that I could suffer from another miscarriage.... it's also very possible that I could be pregnant with a very strong baby. So~ I'm going to be more positive from here on out and see what the next few days bring.
CD26: (11 or 12 dpo)
No sign of bleeding today......
I have no idea what to believe at this point. The bleeding lasted for 4 days total.... it was on and off, spotting to very light, dark brown, and only occured when I used the restroom. Of all the blood I lost in those 4 days, it was not enough to fill a pad.
I would mark it off as af except that it was nothing like af. I bleed heavily with af, it's red blood, and it's accompanied by a lot of cramping. And af has NEVER come on day 21. Perhaps my cycle is just messed up from my miscarriage but I have a hard time believing that because my first cycle after my miscarriage was perfectly normal and came on at 29 days. Who knows though.... there is no rhyme or reason to our bodies.... perhaps this has been af coming and going.... perhaps this was an attempt at implantation & it didn't stick. This could also be a sign of a very healthy implantation.
I'm waiting until Sunday morning.... if I don't have any other bleeding by then, I'll test just to be sure. And if it's negative.... it's back to the drawing board~ and I'm going to have to use O predictor sticks this coming month because there's no telling when ovulation will occur.
Thanks for checking in.... if anyone has any opinions or advice, please feel free to share as I'm completely confused at this point. :)
CD26: (UPDATE)
9 pm: The bleeding is back, it's quite heavy, and it's more like af at this point.
I don't know whether or not my cycle is just a mess or whether or not I had an early miscarriage. I'm going to assume that my body is still trying to get back to normal from my miscarriage in April and that my cycles are just screwed up.
We're hoping for better luck this coming month.......
