08-12-2008 - Glucose Test

My mood while writing this blog:
Anxious

I went to my 28 week Doctor's appointment last Thursday and everything at my appointment went pretty well. Baby's measuring right on time, ect. I got to take the dreaded glucose test. The drink wasn't horrible, but not good by any means!

Today I got a call from my Doctor's office telling me that my glucose level was high. I guess it's not supposed to be over 140 and mine was 152. So now I have to go back on Friday and take the 3 hour test! I have to get there at 8am and get my blood drawn, then drink another drink, and then get my blood drawn every hour for 3 hours!

I got off the phone and told Mike and then I started freaking out a little. I'm just really worried now! I hope everything's ok!! Mike's been really sweet to me all day though. He keeps telling me everything will work out, and we'll get through this if the test come's back positve for gestational diabetes. I still can't help but worry though!

So for now all I can do is sit around and wait to find out what the 3 hour test brings me! Let's hope for good news!

I take my 3 hour test on Saturday.... I was just like you at first and now not so much just because I have started getting used to all of my test results coming back bad. I think that everything will be fine though and we just have to keep happy thoughts:)...

My first test came back 161. I had the 3 hour test done and 1 out of the 4 came back high, so now I have to do a third test on the 15th. Try not to worry though. I've cut out most of the sugar in my diet and it's not been as hard as I thought. Good Luck!!

Good luck... I have to take mine this week and I am so scared I will have to take the 3 hour one too. Well hopefully everything works out for you. Try not to worry to much because theres nothing you can do right now.
