|22-7-2009 - Are your babies having this problem?
||My mood while writing this blog:|
Trying to stay cool, ugh!
HI ALL... :)
Hope everyone is having a good week, thus far... I have been SO busy at work the last couple weeks but thankfully we have a vacation/trip coming up the end of next month to the Oregon Coast and I'm sooo looking forward to it, not only for the time away with my hubby and kiddos but because the Oregon Coast is gorgeous!
So anyway, on to my question.... Are your babies eating less than usual due to these HOT summer days? I can only imagine how hot it must be getting in some parts?! We are in Seattle and have been getting some VERY HOT days as of late especially for the Pacific Northwest! Poor little Ethan is only eating a few ounces at a time sometimes, especially at his night feeding and therefore back to waking up 2 or 3 times through the night instead of his typical one, he is eating just 2 or 3 of his 5 ounces! The good thing about here is that it's not too hot, too often, so A/C really isn't necessary and we have always gotten by just using fans and keeping windows open for the 6 years we've been here since leaving Colorado, however, I'm really starting to think about investing in a window unit for these 90's days that creep in on us?!
I really can't blame the little guy for not wanting to eat as much through this heat! I have had 3 kiddos but don't recall this being an issue for Makayla even though she was born in June and Cody was born in December so by the time summer came he was sleeping through the night... Either way I'm just wanting to see if your little one's are having that problem???

- Thursday, 23 Jul yep, definitely having the exact same problem! we are spending the summer in british columbia and have no air conditioning, so these heat waves have been hellish! there were a couple days last week where it was cooler and he ate (and we both slept) much better! but lately i feel like i am constantly trying to coax the boob into his mouth these days, lol!! avaann
- Thursday, 23 Jul i live where it gets to be almost 100 sometimes (Virginia Beach) and I havent found that it effects her eating habits. We keep it chilly inside. SHe probably doesnt even know what the weather is lol. christinesc
- Thursday, 23 Jul It could very well be the heat. It could also just be that he was eating more due to growth spurts. I'm not sure. All I know is A/C is essential in the south. I'm laughing at your 90 degrees. I got in my car yesterday and it was 104 degrees. I felt like I was going to vomit!! Good luck....I'm sure everything is fine.
