16-6-2010 - Staying Busy...

My mood while writing this blog: Happy as a clam!

...but here are a few good reasons why...

We have certainly kicked off summer here in our neck of the woods & wish someone would tell the weather to do the same! I just wish it would STAY warm outside!!! One day it's gorgeous & the next it feels like early spring again instead of it being nearly summer? Should I be surprised being that I live in Seattle... probably not!

Really I can't complain, it's been wonderful with all the rain & then sun mixed in that my garden/flowers are doing beautifully... there is something so peaceful & calming about gardening, & thanks to my Mom it's in my genes!

Although, we haven't let the sporadic rain stop us too much... Mike has been grilling his buns off & as you can see in the picture above the kiddos are loving the pool being up & running!

Ethan just adores this new thing called swimming! Cody is decked out in Toy Story 3 gear this year (goggles, floaty, water wings.. you name it) & he CAN'T WAIT to go see #3 in the theater this weekend!!!

Makayla officially wrapped up her 3rd grade year last week & so I get to have all 3 of the kiddos at home with me everyday, I love it... OK, except when they are fighting over who gets their cartoons on the "big TV" in the morning!

And speaking of Miss Makayla, her 9th Birthday is coming up so soon (June 29th)... in fact we are taking her next weekend on a special side trip to celebrate when we go on our family vacation, Grandma is coming with us this year to hang with Lil' Ethan for those times that we are doing the not so "toddler friendly" things but I imagine he & his Nana will have a blast while we take the bigger 2 kids to have some much anticipated fun! Kayla is beyond excited & has talked about it just about every day for the past 2 weeks... she was so determined to go on this trip that she gave up having a Party, being as how Mom & Dad aren't made out of money... BUT, what she doesn't know is we will be having a surprise party for her the weekend of the 4th, I can't wait to see her face!

Ethan is getting close to hitting 15 months old already, WOW! He has went from walking to running everywhere over the past few months & can get around pretty darn quickly... he most definitely keeps us on our toes! He's such a sweetheart, he waves & blows kisses to all the girls now... my little flirt!

Cody, is doing awesome also... we have been prepping him for preschool in the fall & I know he will love it! He will be 5 at the end of the year & it's just astounding to have 2 of them in school, well almost!

As for hubby & I... hmmm, well, we are excited for Christmas, why in June am I thinking of Christmas already... because I am hoping Santa will bring me a BFP this year... We have decided to begin trying to conceive our 4th and final little one in the later part of the year! We are hoping for a fall 2011 baby! I haven't officially decided if I will tie my tubes following the c-section or not but ultimately I think I may? I have plenty of time to decide but at the same time want to give it enough thought before making the decision! I think if our next baby is a girl that will make my decision easier, I would adore having another little girl and round out the family! Having said that, I wouldn't mind another little boy one bit... although feeding 3 boys once they are teenagers is a bit scary LOL! Either way, I look forward to "officially" trying. I look forward to being pregnant with some of you ladies that are trying now or soon, as well!

Oh boy, I better get going now... the kids are at my heals for their "after dinner sweet treat"!
