29-11-2009 - THANKSGIVING IAP UNION 2009

My mood while writing this blog: HAPPY AND TIRED

so I went to WA to visit with the iap mommies and babies for my Thanksgiving week. I met Amanda-is-rebekkas mom, Bekkah and her daddy, Pixie and Ez, Shino< jannie, Ari and her daddy, Mikal, gracie, Jakie, carter and their daddy. it was an AWESOME week. first i went to Olympia and stayed at the hotel shino works at. I made a fort for the kids using blankets and the table and they switched off sleeping in there for the night. rions fav part of the Olympia trip was making homemade waffles for breakfast lol. Cassandra Is so cool just like i knew she would be. She talks more than how she seems online but has the same type of humor and sarcasm I was used to from her lol. felt like an old friend I see all the time. Jannie is soooo pretty and we were right about her talking as much as Rion lol. They got along great! Ari is a lil cutie!!! She's actually bigger than i thought and is just so adorable - she gave me the evil eye afew times though and really does speak complex sentences like "who is in there?" when i didn't hear them knocking on the door lol. I also met shinos parents and they are so cute and very friendly. Aris dad is alot quieter than i assumed but shino told me to expect that lol but he was very cool too. His hair was longer than i thought tho. I have a pic of them holding the babies and its so cute - will post later.

Amanda is sooooo pregnant lol. but such a trooper! we went to the capitol building and climbed like a million steps and she did it! she is very sweet and nice and her hubby is Mr Mom lol. he was chasing after the babies too. Bekkah is a lil princess and such a flirt! trouble lol. The babies got along well when we went to the hands on museum but are stil at the age where they dont play together for long. Bekkah is a lil timid and mani is the daredevil. Ari is the secret schemer and dashes off if you arent on your toes! Mani trapped herself in the treehouse and refused to come down. I had to get them to unlock the window part which I doubt was ever used before for this purpose and drag her out. The baes did so ggod tho! We were out all day and the meltdown came way later than expected.

I also got to meet Pixie and Ez but Ezzi got sick and the other mommies couldnt meet them. Pixie is adorable. She is actually bigger than I imagned but just as sweet. Her new hair color rocks btw. Ez is just precious. Such a good lil boy and Mani relearned how to breastfeed and tried to latch on to pixie lmao!!! after Mani witnessed the goods Ez gets she was all for making pix hold her and would try to sneak her hand in her shirt lol. I cant wait to hang out with them again when Ez feels better.

Soooo then it was time for my Yakima stint and we Shino and me met up with soon2b at the mountain pass (kind of halfway point between them) Soon looks like soon in her pictures except she is so much cuter. just the way she speaks is adorable and she definatly does not look like she has had ANY kids let alone 3. She tried to warn me befor we met that she's boring in person but whatever she lied! She's cute bubbly and really has some funny momements like when i was deciding on what tea to get for myself and she pointed out the Detox tea lol. She pointed out all the WA facts she knew and it was so interesting. Especially when she told me that those weird things on the mountains i pointed at were "trees" lol! Rion got to play in snow too! Soons kids are just awesome. Gracie is so smart and talented and a great big sis, Jakie is all boy with a sweet sensitive side and will always be my fav because hes a middle child aAND he told me i can stay and gave me loves!! carter is ANGEL baby. he can just sit and draw and you forget hes even there! and Andy - Soon is never allowed to complain about him again. well maybe her new quota is once a year... and it better be good - because he is superdad and hubby. He does dishes!!! Her family is just so awesome. I learned alot while I was there about doing more family things with the kids no matter how tired I am. The kids really do appreciate it. Rion had such a good time and Mani was not a beast!! However, our plan for me to seduce Andys brother and marry him so I could be soons SIL and move to WA did not work... :( ah well we gotto figure something out becuase Im sold on WA now lol. Even if i have to live near that pass thingy so i can visit soon and shino when i want.

This was byfar my best holiday experience ever and I trully thank all the mommies that met me and my psycho spawns for taking us in and making happy memories with us. I love you guys and I advise all iap mommies to visit another iap mom/baby whenever you can - its the best experience and worth the time and money - we are all family :)

Oh, and I forgot to thank you for not mentioning all the huffing and puffing on the stairs! lol! My hubby really is Mr. Mom! he's been so great with taking care of Bekah and keeping up with her when I haven't been able to this pregnancy! He's a keeper for sure! :)

I'm so glad you had a wonderful time, love all your pics and I think you gave Rion and Mani one of the best presents, new friends and wonderful memories! And you are right, meeting IAP mommies it's the best experience, I can't wait to meet Shino in a couple of weeks and see Soon again (if weather allows it). I hope we get to meet sometime in the future too!

What a great blog! We had so much fun. Jake wanted to know when you were coming back. I think he thought we were just going to the store when we left to take you to the airport. It was sad. Oh, and I am boring! Queen is just being polite. I do have some funny moments though...lol.

LOVE ur Blog!!!! So glad u got to meet up with so many of the girls, im totally jealous. The pics and stories are so fun to see and read! I agree meet up with an IAP mommy whenever u get a chance cause it is the best ever! Henrysmaman and I have so much fun. I love all the mommies and cant wait to meet Kynry and Soon this summer in Wa. I LOVE ALL MY MOMMY FRIENDS!!!

Iloved all the pics on FB. I have to say I am jealous that you got to meet so many mommies. You know it is awesome that you have meet so mony wonderful people on here then got to see them in real life. Seeing you all together makes it all seem real. Everyone looks so nice and I would love to meet you all one day. Queen you are amazing to go and see everyone on your vacation but it looks like you and the kids had a wonderful time. Thanks for all your comments about everyone and the babies. Amanda- looks wonderful; Soon is beautiful; Shino- is adorable, And Pixie- is such a cutie! And the kiddos are all cuties. Gald you all had a good time..

I'm SOOOOOO glad you came up! it was good incentive for me to get my butt up to WA!! Now I just gotta meet the other Oregon mommies! lol! I totally agree that it was so comfortable, I was worried that I'd be nervous and that it might be awkward meeting in person, but it was just like we'd known each other in person all along. I don't think there was a single quiet moment! lol!What you're leaving out is that Rion is the most polite, helpful boy I've ever met! I didn't see him talk back even once to Riane! Kevin and I were so impressed with him, you just don't expect that out of an 8 year old boy! and Mani was so laid back! (other than not wanting to come out of the tree house, which I'm sorry, but was HILARIOUS! :)), she was just happy to be hanging out with everyone! She wasn't nearly the wild child I expected! lol! Ari was adorable, and I agree, bigger than I expected (I just kept hearing how tiny she is comparatively) and that girl was off if you took your eyes off her for a second! No wonder shino is so skinny, dashing after her all the time! Jannie was a sweetie, and man can that girl talk! lol! Bekah had the first meltdown of the day on Sunday when we went to the Capital and to the Hands On Museum, she had it at the Capital building, but once we got to the Museum there were too many cool things to play with! though she definitely is my timid girl, and got scared a few times! :) They held up like troopers though considering how long we were out! I had SOOOOO much fun and I'm so glad I got up there and got to meet you guys and your kiddos! And Bekah had a lot of fun, even if she did get a little overwhelmed from time to time! :)
