My mood while writing this blog: Great! |
Hi all,
I hope you are doing great!!!
Things are really looking up for me, it seems that I am pulling myself out of feeling down. I am still having moments of sadness but they are certainly getting less frequent, which is wonderful.
Miss Emily-Rose has a social life to be jealous of!! As her taxi driver and personal assistant, I now only get Mondays off! lol. We are going swimming with her friends on a Tuesday, meeting with the mums and babies I met at aquanatal on a Wednesday, Thursday we go to a playgroup where we sing songs and make things and Friday is our favourite, breastfeeding group - the mums there are so funny. When we all laugh, Emily laughs too! soooo cute. There are lots of boys at the group, most of the time Emily is the only girl. She has about 4 boyfriends!! hehe
So, on Tuesday - Steve and I took Emily to get her first lot of injections. I made Steve hold her! lol. She had a delayed response with crying on the first one....when the second jab went in, in the other leg she screamed the place down! I had tears in my eyes because I felt so bad for her. Daddy calmed her down and when we got back out to the waiting room, I gave her a feed and she was fine again :)
She was measured and weighed too. She is 63cm/ 24.8 inches and weighs 6.8kg/ 15lbs. This puts her in the 98% for weight and height and also her head is into the same bracket so she is perfectly proportioned, just very big. I cant believe that only 2% of babies her age are bigger than her. She is the average size of a 16 week old. Bless her.
I love watching her grow up! She is trying to communicate constantly with her little noises and facial expressions. She is really holding her head well now and is so aware of voices and noises. I love being a mummy!!!
Hope you are all enjoying your babies, pregnancies or BDing ;)
Take care all, Rach & Emily-Rose x x

Friday, 23 Oct Wow! That's a big girl! Nothing wrong with it though, it just means she's really healthy. :-) My little girl is almost 11 lbs, but she's a month younger than yours, and we had a really hard time breastfeeding for the first 2 or 3 weeks. I'm glad that you're having an easy time of it. Where do you find all of these nice classes to go to? We don't have anything like that here that I know of. rooey -
Friday, 23 Oct Aww bless her, busy little bunny :o) So glad you are doing so well :o) At least you know she is healthy and is growing as she should be ;o) its so rewarding knowing that they are doing fine. I am dreading Addysens jabs, my Dad is coming with me, as Darren hates needles and mum will find it to upsetting lol! I am trying to find a group to go to, they all seem to be full :o( I think it will do us good to go and socialise with other babies, instead of being with my mum everyday. xxx MummytoHarrison -

Friday, 23 Oct Sounds like a wonderfully full schedule. I hate being back at work and not being able to spend the days with my little Arianna but it makes me really look forward to going to pick her up. Plus I know she is well taken care of. Glad to hear she is doing so well! Diegirl -
Friday, 23 Oct I think Poet was born before Emily~Rose(she was born Aug 2nd) and she only weighs 13 lbs 3 ounces. I think this is pretty average for 2.5 months. However, I usually have the big babies in the 90th(or higher) percentile. It's nice to have an average size baby for once. I am glad things are getting better for you! christinesc -
Friday, 23 Oct Ahhh, I'm so glad you are feeling better. It's amazing what just getting out of the house will do for you. Emily sounds so cute! I bet she has lots of personality. And the best part is, it only gets better. Enjoy!! xo expecting-2b-patient (Cheryl) -
