15-9-2008 - Wind Storm

My mood while writing this blog: Relieved

Well, in Louisville, KY where I live, we had a horrible wind storm that was strong enough that knocked down trees, which knocked down our power lines. If I remember exactly we have over 400,000 people without power. We just got ours tonight, which made me so happy because they were talking the longest it'd take be from a week to two weeks. It was tough getting cell phone signals because of cell phone towers were out I guess, crazy frenzy about gas pumps because they either are shut down because there's no power or they out of fuel. So people are in crazy lines getting gas. I believe our governor had to put out a state of emergency. Our stores perishables like eggs and milk went bad at stores, so you can imagine our refridgeraters. We had to buy a lot of dry food and finding a place that had ice was nearly impossible. This has just happened Monday around 12 pm, I remember the wind storm scared me enough that I thought it would break our windows or something.

I'm just glad everyone is above all okay. And for those who got hit by Hurricane Ike, I pray you guys are okay and just realized what we went through is nothing in compared to what you all are going through. And I pray for yall's safety and that God will be with you through this tough time you all are going through.

Other than that my pregnancy has been going very well, I've been feeling my son moving around crazy inside, which always puts a big grin on my face. Today his aunt was saying how he didn't like her, so she poked at him and he hit right back that it scared her haha.
