My mood while writing this blog: better

Okay I was having trouble trying to figure out this damn blood sugar monitor. Last night finger pricking hurt and wouldn't draw blood. And whats kind of funny is that I can't use the blood sampler, the thing that clicks and pricks you. So I take the needle by itself and prick myself manually. And you know what?! It works!!! =] You have no idea how happy that makes me. Lets say I've used all the sample test strips already because I kept making mistakes which got annoying. So on my very last strip, I got it right! I had a blood sugar of 76, which I guess is alright =] And honestly I rather like the diet they've put me on.

My little boy has been more active the past couple days, playing in the ribs, playing with my tummy. I can see and feel the top of his head because of how round and hard it is. Which is pretty neat.

Tomorrow I'm going to be staying with my aunt and cousin, which will be nice since my aunt had gestational diabetes and developed type 2 diabetes, so she's really knowledable about diabetes. Plus shes awesome to be around! We'll be preparing for my babyshower this Sunday, which will be a lot of fun.

Whats awesome and sort of sad is that while two of my great aunts could not attend my babyshower, they were generous enough to send me a card. One aunt sent me a 50 dollar giftcard to Walmart and the other aunt whose a doctor sent me a $100 dollar giftcard to Target. I have a registry at both of those places so thats even better!! I'm just so appreciative to be given that much =]

I know one of my other great aunts couldn't go, but according to my grandmother, she made me a beautiful quilt and left it with my grandma so they can give it to me. She wants a lot of pictures so I'll be sure to take a lot of those. I just can't wait to see all my friends and family who will be able to make it, so yay!! I'll also be seeing Jeff's two aunts and grandma ^-^
