| 17-10-2008 - Ultrasound Update | My mood while writing this blog:A lot better and relieved |
I'm so sorry I hadn't wrote an update about this any sooner, yesterday after the ultrasound I went to sleep and didn't wake up until much later. And then today as soon as I woke up I had to get some major cleaning done before 5 pm. I wanted to get one of my closets done and believe me it was a 10 am- 5pm job and I'm only 3/4 done with it, lol! I'm trying to clean that closet out so I can put all of my son's stuff in there. His nursery is right next to my bedroom.
I apologize to those who heard this story more than once already. I've written this story more than 2 times already, haha. Anyways, left for my ultrasound around 8:25 am and got there in time for the ultrasound. My mother came with me since Jeff could not make it because of work and honestly if something were wrong I would want someone to be there with me. So we didn't wait long in the waiting room, we were like the only people in there anyways, the tech led us in the back to begin the ultrasound. Though I felt very nervous about the ultrasound I really like the tech, wasn't the first time she's done a ultrasound for me and has always been really good telling me what she's doing, what I'm seeing on the screen. She begin doing the measurements of my son, like I know she had to measure the bones in my son's legs, like the femur. And I remember when she got done she said he was 4 pounds and 14 ounces and I think she mentioned how big he was in inches, but honestly do not remember on the top of my head, but what I do remember is that she said he's growing right on track!!! Made me feel so much better!!
Then she began measuring the amniotic fluid and it turn out to be in the normal range! So it made me so happy!!! I felt so much better!! The tech mentioned to me a couple times how powerful my son's kicks are. Hehe, she has no clue just how strong his kicks can get lol.
Well, afterwards went to Meijers to go pick up my prescription for lancets and test strips since I ran out of the samples last Friday. They didn't have the ketone urine strips, but was able to get what I needed for my blood sugar monitor. Also picked up this swaddler thing for the baby, you know how you use blankets and have to set it up to swaddle the baby? Well, its one of those things were its already designed, all you do is put the baby in it and snap it on. Also looked at some of the Christmas outfits, but there's no way of knowing how big my son will be so we are waiting on that.
On Monday or Tuesday this week I went to Target and Walmart to pick up some of the stuff I didn't get off my registry. I got the classic pooh bear bedding, classic pooh bear nightlight, then got my son his tub, this teddy bear that makes womb sounds, baby memory book, winter suit, and a UofL outfit. My grandmother wants to buy me the carseat, and my parents want to buy me a high chair. I'm going to save up and get the baby monitors soon.
By next week (I pray) my son's nursery will be finished. Its going to be cleaned, painted, cleaned some more, everything will be brought from the basement room to his nursery and set up, and decorated. All the carpets in the entire house will be professionally cleaned and believe me they truly need it!! So yeah this is my update and what I've been up to
