05-8-2009 - My period has been a no show for 1-2 days

So my period is approximately late 1-2 days. I'm waiting for it to show, I thought I felt some twinges early this morning, but haven't since. So I dunno what to think. I want to take a test, but when I was pregnant with Aidan I had a faint positive when I was six weeks. Not too sure what test it was, because I know some detect better than others.

Plus I just want to wait another day or two because sometime periods do show up late. I guess I 'm not fully convinced that I could be pregnant.

I'm sorry if I'm annoying you all with all of this. Makes me feel neurotic or something. I know my best friend is wanting to test already. However I don't want to test and get a false negative. I just want to test and be sure of the results. So I guess my plan is to wait another two days and test (might be before who knows). And if its negative and I still have no period then I'll ask for a blood test and do a urine test as well. If I do get it I'm still seeing my doctor to go back on birth control thats much more reliable than what we've been doing.

I've talked to my mother and she's still concerned about the possibility of another pregnancy. However I feel a lot better that she knows that it could go either way so I don't feel so scared to tell her. She told me if its a negative me and her will go celebrating lol!

Is there any type of reliable pregnancy tests besides the blood kind? Like any really good brands? So I feel more confident with whatever result I do get. I'm contemplating on having Jeff go get a test today. The only reason I hadn't because last night when I told him about the possibiluty he was upset and didn't want to talk anymore about it. And then asked what are symptoms I'm feeling. Well with my last pregnancy (Aidan) I had no symptoms until I was 6 weeks along.

Again really sorry for bothering you all with all these neurotic thoughts. Though I'm going crazy over the possibilities 0.0 I'll keep you all updated if my period comes or not.
