30-7-2009 - week 14 Fine & DandyMy mood while writing this blog:
Fine & Dandy

SECOND TRIMESTER! Wow, that's just awesome!!! I'm feeling great. The only thing I can report is that I've been having pains in my tummy, which is apparently ligaments stretching.

I went to the GP today for a check up. Basically she tested my wee and took my blood pressure. She asked if I would like to try and hear the heartbeat and I said "WOULD I EVER!" So it took her a few minutes but finally found it and hearing that woosh woosh woosh woosh was just magic.

She also referred me to the hospital, who called me this afternoon to let me know they're sending me stuff in the mail letting me know what will happen from here, and they're making an appointment for me to go see them and have a full check up and ultrasound at 18 weeks. I'm also booked into the clinic to have an ultrasound at 19 weeks, which I told the hospital, but they said THEY want to do one, so I may or may not go to the 19 week one. I might just go so I can see the baby again, or I was also thinking if the hospital can't tell the sex for some reason, I'll have a second opinion, hehehehehe!

Being booked into the hospital really makes GIVING BIRTH TO A BABY a reality. I have been VERY good and haven't started on baby's room yet, but I'm not sure how much longer I can hold off, hahaha.

My 9 year old niece is coming to say with us for a week. I'm picking her up from the airport tomorrow morning so this week is going to be HUGE. We'll have so much fun, but I'm going to be totally buggered by the end of it I know.

Well, that's about all for now. Happy Days indeed.

Smiles,
Tanya.

Great news you got to hear bubs heart beat! The hospital sounds very effecient which is great and makes things easier... and lucky you, getting two ultrasounds soon! Double the fun!! I hope you have a great time with your niece, just don't overdo it!

I just read your entire blog and profile. I just wanted you to know that you are a very inspiring person. Your entire story brought me to tears, first tears of sadness, and then tears of hope! I really wish you the best. God Bless!!

I think I would take advantage of the both u/s also. I still get those round ligament pains and I get someother ligament pain that fell more like period cramps all the time. The more tired I am or the more I try to do the worse they get. I've gone to my Dr. twice about them because they can get so painful and she asures me that for me they are completely normal. This sucks because I have had them since I found out I was pregnant. So now that most pregnancy symptoms have gotten better or gone I just feel somedays like AF is coming and nothing happens. It's like having AF for 9 months! LOL! Have a great day, take care! Keep us updated on those u/s's!

You know once you see your baby you'll be ready again in a week! I'd do both! And I've recently found the symptoms seem to be easing up as far as nausea and food aversions. I can't eat often enough, I even wake up every few hours to eat! So the only symptom that won't go away is being tired all the time, lol. I haven't started on my babies room, either, but I think about it a lot!

Gongrats your in the 2nd trimester! They say it’s the honeymoon period which I found to be very very true lol!! I love hearing the baby on the doppler, isn’t it just amazing, i like your woosh woosh description lol. Get as many ultrasounds as you can if there free or at least cheap, we were told we may not get another one from here on. Enjoy your time with ya Niece x
