09-8-2009 - I felt something last night! Kinda bored (at work!)My mood while writing this blog:
Kinda bored (at work!)

Yes, we all know what the doctors say; before 18 weeks it's gas or something, especially if this is your first baby.

I have felt a few things over the last few weeks but didn't think much of the bubbles I've felt in my tummy. I have been expecting that I'll start feeling movement after the 4.5 month mark.

HOWEVER, last night after eating dinner I was taking a big cold drink and I FELT SOMETHING! It only lasted for a fleeting moment, but it was like nothing I've felt before. It's hard to explain, but it was on the bottom left side of my abdomen, and it was a STRONG fluttering feeling. Anything else I've felt has been mild, but also lasted longer and did feel like air, so I'm sure the other feelings were gas or digestion. When I felt it I froze and looked at Chris and he said "What?" and I said "I ........... I just FELT something" and we smiled at each other.

Men are funny creatures; he took it in his stride and said "well yeah, you're going to feel it moving" and he didn't quite understand the amazement I was feeling.

I suppose for now I don't know if it was the baby or this mysterious 'gas' (hahaha) but it really was different and exciting and it brought tears to my eyes, thinking I might have felt movement for the first time!

Feeling baby move the first time is awesome! One of the many highlights of being fabulously pregnant :D If you don't think that it was gas, then most likely it was baby

Everybody's different so it very well could have been your little one. You'll know when you feel it - it will be unlike anything you have felt before. I didn't feel my little one until around 19-20 weeks but now he moves constantly and I can tell the difference between fingers and an elbow or knee. How exciting!!!

AWESOME! I'm so happy you got to feel the baby. I have noticed COLD makes the baby move, and hot spicy foods too. :-) It will only get stronger! CONGRATS

I have felt some definite movements, like when I startled and jumped I felt it for sure! I'm so glad for you! It's fun! And just wait till we can see it move and our men can feel and see it, too! THEN they will be more amazed!

Thats great if it is the baby. I've heard that if you have a active baby, it is possible to feel them from about now so if you think its the baby... it prob is..
