| 23-8-2009 - Surprise Ultrasound | My mood while writing this blog:Fine & dandy! |
So, on Friday the hospital rang me and told me to come in for an ultrasound on Tuesday. I told them I had a letter saying I had an appointment on the 14th of September and I thought that was for an ultrasound. They told me that appointment is to see a doctor who will want to look at the results of the ultrasound. I told her that I'm only 17 weeks, and didn't I have to be around 19 for this ultrasound? Or at least between 18 & 20? She said no.
I talked to Chris on Friday night, and he's not able to get Tuesday morning off work and he said it was pretty unfair for them to phone me with such little notice, so I phoned them back this morning to re-schedule the appointment, and I was told there isn't another one for a month and a half! I did have an appointment booked at a private clinic for an ultrasound on the 9th of September, but I felt guilty about keeping both appointments (me thinking the letter with the 14th on it was for an ultrasound) so had cancelled that one!
SO, now while I'm excited about going for an ultrasound TOMORROW, I also feel some trepidation as it might be too early???? If I get there and the ultrasound Dr tells me it's too early I am going to be fuming!!!!
If nothing else, maybe they'll be able to see if it's a boy or a girl??? A bit sad that Chris won't be there though, but on the bright side, I can tease him about knowing the sex!
