28-9-2009 - Daddys first touch

My mood while writing this blog: Awesome

Last night we were lying watching TV and I could feel baby moving around a lot. I asked Chris to put his hand on my tummy; I said "Get comfortable and leave your hand there, be patient this time!" as soon as he put his hand on my tummy he felt a big wave go across the surface of my tummy. He was estatic that he'd finally felt baby moving in there after all this time of me telling him how I was feeling baby move. I can only assume it was babys' head or bottom moving across the surface of my tummy, it didn't feel like kicking to me.

I've been getting all sorts of different feelings and of course I know when it's a foot, they're the strongest kicks, but also there's tapping which could be a hand or a foot, and just general squirming and movements. What a good little baby; moving around to let me know she's doing OK in there.

I'm still feeling great, and even better so after spending a long weekend with my Mum, and catching up with my sister and her family and my best friend. I arrived at Mum's house with a bag only 1/4 full, and left with extra baggage as everything my Mum and sister gave me didn't fit in my bag. Not only did I get a whole heap of stuff for baby, but also a few items of clothing for myself which are awesome and fit perfectly.

I went to the Dr on Monday for the monthly check up. I couldn't believe it when she said she'll see me next month, and then the appointments will be fortnightly! It's really starting to fly by. It seems only last week I was facing the prospect of a life with no children and today I have a baby squirming in my tummy! I tell ya, I am one happy happy happy gal!
