| 13-10-2009 - Six Months Preggas! | My mood while writing this blog:Fine & Dandy |
Can you believe I’m six months preggas???? I am so overjoyed! WOO HOO!!!!
I’m feeling really great. I get heartburn sometimes, and my feet get sore and swollen very easily and my coxis bone hurts when I sit down for too long and pinches me sometimes, but these things are pretty minor so far. I'm sleeping like a log, eating like a horse and generally feeling fantastic.
The worst thing I can complain about is the days when baby doesn’t move much. I’m having one of those today. I’ve felt baby move a few times this morning (it’s 9am) but they’re just the flutters and small movements. I like it most on the days when baby kicks me and wiggles around heaps, it’s so reassuring. Last week I had three consecutive days when baby didn’t move much and then on the fourth day baby didn’t stop!
I have nothing to report really because I’m feeling great and I’m just enjoying each and every second of this pregnancy. I truly feel like it’s a miracle; and I know that millions of women are pregnant at any given time around the world, but I really feel special and I feel that my baby is special.
We’ve got the whole baby’s room happening – the final touch is a single bed which we’re picking up on the weekend. We don’t have a whole heap of money so I’ve bought most things from ebay. While baby doesn’t have a designer nursery, we have everything we need for baby and us to be comfortable.
The biggest expense so far has been the clothes I’ve bought for baby. I go into a shop and pick up this for $5 and that for $9 and when I get to the check out I’m up for $60!
I’ve decided to go with cloth nappies; I like the idea that they’re natural and also more environmentally friendly. So my next mission is watching the fitted cloth nappies on ebay seeing how much they sell for.
My next Dr’s appt is on the 26th Oct – and then they’ll be fortnightly until baby comes. We’re booked in for a 4D ultrasound on the 21st November, when we’ll find out if baby really is a girl (although we’re pretty sure!).
That’s about it from me for now. I love reading all your blogs – please keep ‘em coming!
Happy Days,
Tanya.
