04-8-2008 - Packed the baby's bag

My mood while writing this blog: excited

Yesterday I packed the baby's bag. I was quite excited to take this step as it made me feel as though it is getting closer and it also just made me want to have the baby now. I had been looking forward to not working and now that that is here I have relaxed a little and realise that this time is precious and I am therefor not just waiting for the clock to tick around. I have been working for almost 3 years non stop except for 2 weeks last Christmas so this time off is just so welcomed. Having time to myself, being here on my own is just a luxury I have not had for a long tiime and prior to being married, I loved spending time on my own. This time is also precious as am spending lots of time with the girls; playing games and being able to give my whole attention to them. Yesterday I cleaned the whole house, except the girl's rooms. I have made a huge list of things I want to and need to get done and packing was one of the things on my list. I still havent packed a bag for hospital yet and I have to say I dont really know what to pack. I dont really have any nighties and everything else I want to take, I sort of wear at the moment. I guess perhaps I should just make a list then and at the time I can just grab stuff. The factors which make me confused about what to bring is that I want to have a water birth, but how much time will I be at the hospital not in the water? Then there is what I will wear in the water if anything? Then there is what I will wear after the birth, which wouldnt be a problem really but I am planning on coming home half a day or a day after having the baby so I dont really need much.

I think I am just ranting. Anyway, I must go as I am going to try and get my hair cut and go to the library.
