| 21-8-2008 - 37 week appointment | My mood while writing this blog:okay |
There has been some debate over my due date since I first became pregnant. First it was the 19th then the 13th then the 11th of September, of course I have gone with the earliest, and why not? But the midwives constantly say that I am less pregnant than I think I am - which kind of annoys me............ anyway, I did the group B strep test. then she felt for the position of the baby. It seems, and she had to get a second opinion on this, that my baby is head down after all. My hubby was surprised at the traditional way they went about it. he thought they should have just got me into an ultrasound. Also I have another appointment in 2 weeks which she feels is too long so now I have to get appointments for the dates in between the fortnights. Also, they are not planning on any internal exams to check for dilation until I am in labour. So there wont be any updates in that regard, but it is probably good because you can get to thinking that you are ready to go when it still may take a while.
I feel labour isnt that far away but at the same time it feels like miles away. I am not impatient at all. I am enjoying my time off and my kids have some days off so I can get to spend time with them. It is cold and windy and rains alot so staying home is not such a bad option. Hubby also wants me to stay home and not go far from home.
Anyway that's my blog for today
